Lagos has been eating Nigeria's money for 60 years and cannot even manage to look better than Cotonou. Embarrassing.

In the 1960’s our economy is better than Singapore’s Just five years after the war, around 1975, traders in Onitsha had already started building four-storey structures. Credit to whoever introduced that trend. it shows how quickly Igbos adapt to innovation. We naturally embrace trends and healthy competition. I believe that once the first 8-storey condominium is successfully developed, it will open the door for many more. Others will follow, improve on it, and scale it. Recently, Gov Soludo mentioned that land in the state is becoming increasingly expensive. That is a serious concern. No serious company wants to site a factory in a place where land is too expensive. They will simply move to other states where land is more affordable and available.

We need more bustling cities in the SE . We currently have Aba , Owerri, Enugu , Onitsha as the top and most vibrant . We need like 4 more to join them at that level from Orlu, Ekwulobia , Nnewi , Nsukka , Umuahia , Awka , Abakililki Also need Ohafia, Afikpo, Mbaise , ...

This is how it is done all over the world. Netherlands is a small country, yet it generates more revenue from agriculture than Nigeria earns from oil and gas. Government build houses via approved real estate agents and citizen buy, you can’t just build anywhere. The reason is simple: they carefully conserve their scarce land and use it efficiently for agriculture. They even reclaim land from the sea to expand their usable land.

See look The average cost of building a regular duplex now is about ₦150 million, including land. The government can bring together about five real estate companies to form a development group. It can then introduce higher taxes on duplexes, making them more expensive and mainly affordable for the ultra-rich. the government should encourage people who are planning to spend ₦150–₦200 million on duplexes to instead buy flats in well-designed condominiums. These condos should not be like the regular four-storey buildings. They should include: •Elevators •A gym •Proper parking space •Good facility management

Yes it’s above your reasoning, mad boy South East is only about 29,000 km², yet it has a population of over 40 million people. Compare that with Hong Kong with Population: 7.4 million •Land area: 1,104 km² •Extremely high population density •Relies on high-rise buildings •Uses land efficiently while still preserving green areas and forests I was in Rwanda last year. It has almost the same land mass as the South East, yet: •There is orderly development •They do not build indiscriminately •They still maintain thriving wildlife and green spaces From Onitsha to Awka: •It is becoming difficult to find free land •There is unchecked urban sprawl •Forests are disappearing rapidly This is not because we lack land—it is a result of: •Poor urban planning •Weak enforcement of land-use laws •Indiscipline in development I personally took this video in Rwanda

We have an Economic Professor as a governor, his highlight is threatening traders in Onitsha. No worldclass infrastructural project that will make the state compete with the likes of Lagos and Ogun in terms of industrialization. Just mocking Peter while building cheap rural roads.

One day, Anambra State will have a governor who will give Onitsha, Nnewi, Awka, and Ekwulobia the attention and facelift they deserve. Until then, let Soludo continue chasing native doctors around.

I have been advocating for this for a long time. In the cement sector, we are among the largest consumers because we build extensively across the region, yet there is no major cement factory in our area. In the FMCG sector, we dominate distribution channels and are also one of the biggest consumer bases, but we are not producing in South East @SEDCgov @markokoyeII If you can provide strong leadership on this: •SEDC can take a 10–20% equity stake •The host state government can also take 10–20% •The remaining 60% can be funded collectively by proper consultation of •Igbo market leaders across Nigeria •Igbo business networks in and outside Igboland •The diaspora community •Influential individuals, including sports personalities This is not a contribution but an investment in the factory. This model is 100% achievable. If you can deliver even 1–2 factories annually, your legacy will stand alongside great leaders like Sam Mbakwe. More importantly, it will help shift the Igbo economic mindset from importation and real estate to building and investing in productive industries and IT startups

Here is the target spreadsheet for a major brand in FMCGs sector, the SE region is the king on fast moving consumers goods, our people must take advantage of this and site their production plants in the SE region, we have gas processing plants, good road network etc

2 out of the 4 major FMCGs distribution hubs in Nigeria is located in the SE region, yet we distribute majorly goods produced elsewhere, opportunities abound in tomato pastes, pasta, soda drinks, cereals, biscuits etc, we're outsourcing our logistics advantage to other regions.

Look at the low-quality work being done in the heart of Onitsha. Are they not seeing what is happening in Enugu, Aba, and even Owerri? Why are contracts being awarded to low-quality contractors? Just look at the roundabout, they removed the metal railings, used blocks to obstruct the view, and are now constructing shanties inside it. This is not modernization; it is a step backwards. Onitsha deserves proper urban planning, not makeshift structures in critical public spaces.

I’m from Anambra, and I want the best for us. Onitsha is in a poor state right now. The road from Bridge Head to Umunya was built and beautified in 2012 by Peter Obi, but today it needs small maintenance and re-beautification. An industrial city cannot survive without stable and affordable electricity. Without (IPP), industries will continue to struggle due to unreliable and expensive power. In Ogun State, most industrial estates have about 3MW IPP plants. Now, gas pipelines are being extended from Imo State to Ogun, Abuja, and Kano, yet nothing significant is coming to the South East, not even to APC-controlled states 😂🤣 Onitsha urgently needs a massive infrastructure upgrade. There are reports of gas deposits in the Ogbaru and Ihiala axis, which are very close and could be leveraged for industrial development. Recently, Charles Soludo said land in Anambra is about three times more expensive. As an Anambrarian who hopes to establish a factory in the state, statements like that are discouraging and coming from a first class economist, I would rather consider setting up in Asaba instead. I personally took this video
