I love that I’m seeing this rendering of the Church’s logo that I made circulating around. Reminder: the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, and contains the complete gospel of Jesus Christ.
This is a great story. And I think there's an important distinction to make here. Let's be clear: her mom was not in a position of stewardship to receive revelation about what her call should or should not be. She would have had no authority to tell the Bishop "God told me I'm not supposed to be in this position, so put me somewhere else." HOWEVER it would have been completely appropriate to say: "Bishop, just so you're aware, I've had strange unsettled feelings ever since I was called. Do with that information what you will; I will cheerfully serve wherever you want." I get the impression that @MamaTexan's Mom ("Gramma Texan?" 😉) went with that latter, humbler approach. Good on her!

Since we are not appealing to base (carnal) desires we pass this test Test 3 ✅ 1 John 4: 1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world Since from the beginning, Angel, Moroni, Joseph Smith, Jesus Christ himself, every living prophet since has affirmed Jesus is the Christ, the eternal God therefore we easily pass this test. Test 4 ✅ By this shall man know he are my disciples if ye have love one to another While we are not perfect, most people see members of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints as the best, most loving people in the world
