@baseballinpix It’s my understanding that he would slide his bottom hand up right before swinging if he wanted to hit to left field. He would slide his left hand down right before swinging if he wanted to pull or hit for power. He didn’t swing with that grip.

A good picture of Ty Cobb's split hand grip. He kept his hands apart to maximize his bat control, allowing him to put the ball in play exactly where he wanted it. With a lifetime .366 batting average, it is hard to argue with the results. Could a modern hitter succeed with a grip like this today?

@klwoodjr Hes not wrong and hes actively fighting to get MLB players in the Olympics in 28. Which is going to be part of the CBA issues coming up when ownership is going to lock them out and rob us of baseball. I have no problem with him saying this at this time.
