@MichaelLeoM @OttawaCitizen The trench they dug for the C&C was a lot deeper than it needed to be: I live near the Scott trench so I have a familiarity with its depth... and it was striking how much deeper the Byron cutting was. More digging is more time and more disruption.

It’s been four hours since an update on Line 1 trains from @OC_TranspoHelps. Pathetic comms, as usual.

All Ottawa LRT trains are currently on-hold, per PA announcement on parked train at Tunney’s. Amazing that this thing still can’t handle snow.

CBC says train service just resumed.

We’ve had several supporters notice excessive salt application at OC Transpo stations. This is bad: salt is highly toxic to ecosystems. We’ve contacted OC Transpo to ask about their practices, but in the meantime, we’re trying to record how widespread the problem is. 1/2
