Unpopular opinion: You probably don’t need a Sprinter. I know. Everyone wants one. They look professional. They hold a lot of gear. But they’re expensive to buy, expensive to maintain, and if you’re running a two or three van operation, you’re paying a premium for capacity you’re not using most days. A Transit or ProMaster at the right spec does the same job for $15,000-$20,000 less per unit. Buy the van that fits your actual need , not the one that looks best in photos.

Last I heard she was just cutting income taxes for people making less than $100K. If that’s households, that’s about half the state. If that refers to individuals, that’s about 65% of us. I like her logic behind doing this: that’s money that can be spent on essentials, like childcare, insurance, utilities, food, therapy, etc — things the state would otherwise have to manage and provide. Richer folks don’t need this tax cut.

In my opinion this is one of those things that people say but isn't actually true. People like what PE or PE like companies provide, which is why they produce more revenue at higher profit margins. Family owned sounds nice but for the vast majority is purely sentimental.

@gvh41 Being able to talk to a human used to be good business, until somewhere over the past decade we decided to phase it out. Now it's a "value-add" that PE quickly does and now it's up to the customer to determine if time / responses are worth paying for.

Homeowner version of down bad. You want a driveway extension. 1 out of the first 10 contractors you call answer the phone. That contractor is PE backed, uses ServiceTitan, and charges more than 2x the market rate.
