Sounds good on paper but China has no interest in being equal or in partnership. It’s partly cultural and partly the egocentric nature of China’s leadership. Sadly, these countries can’t coexist and just live happily together. And for the US to do that, would give Chinese leadership the opportunity to take advantage of the situation in some way
