Just realized I’ve never introduced myself. I’m Daniel. • I'm 43 years old • Born and raised in Arizona • I’m a licensed architect + professor • I’m a former competitive distance runner (now training for a half marathon after 10+ years) • I've traveled to 15 countries in 15 years • I've managed $500M+ in architecture projects • I built Arizona’s first outdoor container park in Tucson • I moved a barn to build Arkansas’ first multifamily agrihood • I also built an unknown Mies van der Rohe building • I helped clients turn their dreams into reality • I teach the next generation of architects • I’m on the path to write my first book • I secretly enjoy reading slow • I'm learning piano Before I built communities and buildings. Now I help you build your ideal life with intentional habits. That’s a little about me. I love building. And I’m here to share my journey with you. The wins. The losses. And everything in between. So will you follow me on this journey ? ——————— PS. ❝ Be the designer of your world and not merely the consumer of it. ❞ — James Clear Thanks for reading! If you enjoyed this post and want more insights on: • Healthy habits • Positive mindset • Writing shenanigans Like/Repost below if you can And follow @thedanielaros for more. Cheers 😃 Daniel

The secret of people who never look stressed? They avoid the 5 Decision Assassins: 1️⃣ The Researcher: You gather more info. The window closes. 2️⃣ The Perfectionist: You wait for certainty. Nothing ships. 3️⃣ The Doubter: You second-guess everything. Momentum dies. 4️⃣ The Planner: You build systems. You don’t act. 5️⃣ The Avoider: You stay busy to avoid the real move. —— Think about your last 10 decisions. Which one is running your life? For me, it was The Perfectionist. I told myself “I’ll start when it’s ready.” Then I forced myself to ship something at 80%… Imagine if clarity came after action. That’s the world we’re stepping into. While I’m publishing imperfect work, Or testing new ideas in real time, Momentum is building without permission. So here’s my challenge to you this week: 1. Pick one thing you’ve been delaying 2. Ship the smallest version 3. Use the feedback to improve You’ll be surprised what happens.

I’ve worked with people earning $900K a year who are permanently exhausted. I’ve worked with people earning $100K a year with energy for family, hobbies, and health. At some point, it’s less about income and more about protecting your life.

I skipped my daily journal for 3 days. I noticed nothing. Only the absence of clarity and energy in my afternoons. Started journaling again. Focus returned.

More followers won't fix a broken process. I used to refresh after every post. Low numbers. Wrong strategy. Grow faster. That was the loop. Then I realized: 100 followers with a system beats 10,000 without one. System → writing Writing → trust Trust → opportunity Followers are a byproduct. When I stopped chasing the number. I stopped forcing the work. Energy went into writing instead. Better posts. Clearer thinking. You don't need more followers. You need a process that works when nobody's watching.

the hopelessness about the business. the dread about the relationship. the uncertainty about the future. the fear about money. where do all of them live? your mind. past replaying. future projecting. in the present moment — right now — none of that exists. just this. that's not an escape. that's the only place where you're actually free.

@blakeaburge Good rule. Whenever I sense my mind getting foggy, I don't make any decisions until I clear out my head.

Picked up my truck after 2 weeks in the shop. Bill: $0. Mechanic: “We got you. Don’t worry about it.” They replaced electrical components, parts, and put in real work. This didn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of 10 years of mutual respect. Be good to people. It comes back. Luke 6:31: “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Emergency fund breathes. He gets a loyal customer for life.

Porn doesn’t steal your time. It rewires you. Drive fades. Focus dies. Reality blurs. Confidence drops. And the worst part? You don’t notice… Until you’re not yourself anymore. Stop feeding it.

𝕏 *can* be such a positive force. In the last few weeks I've had a few posts pop off. Not on some rage bait. Not on some controversial hot take. What was it on? People genuinely giving me props for life accomplishments: new mile PR, wedding anniversary, 1 year alcohol free. This app gets an awful rap. You know why? Because most aren't spending their time on here the right way. Post authentic content and truly connect with people doing the same. It changes everything. Like everything in life, this app is what you make it. I'm simply hopping on here this morning to say THANK YOU for making it a positive experience for me. You all ARE the ones posting that authentic content and the reason I stick around on here to build something worthwhile. The climb continues.

90% of young adults are waiting for clarity to fall from the sky. But it’s nowhere to be seen. School has failed. Your parents have failed. You can’t wait much longer. You’re waiting for clarity to show up along the way. But clarity isn’t found. It’s built, intentionally. Built from the ground up. All the way to a clear target. You start by nailing down what your natural skills are based on what you’ve already experienced. Then define the occupation(s) they point you toward. Then you commit to one path and do everything in your power to get there. Mastering your occupation. Forging new relationships. Making an impact in the world. Nobody is coming to guide you by the hand. And you don’t need it. \ You can take charge of your own destiny today

This may not be popular, but I'm going to say it anyway: I'd much rather work a $120,000/year job I don't like than a $60,000/year job that I love.
