@justddev It's one of the most challenging things to get right. But some of the apps really nail it.

onboarding isn't just about collecting user info it’s the highest leverage part of your conversion funnel minimalist (making $10k/mo) basically mastered this: - showcases features early on (focus timer, shared lists) - addresses user frustration visually - ends with a high-intent CTA ("yes, i'm ready") if your app’s retention drops in the first 60 seconds, your onboarding is likely the issue

@markproduct Because there seems to be an ecosystem here of other builders and creators. Every other platform has kind of built their own niche, which is quite different.

This founder spent years building an expense tracker. Revenue was stuck at a few hundred dollars per month. Then a creator found his X profile through a link buried inside the app’s Settings page. One conversation. One partnership. Today, MonAi does roughly $50K/month, and he’s building full-time. Most founders keep looking for growth hacks. Meanwhile, their best distribution channel might already be sitting inside their product. @florianvates

@i_mika_el Claude design has gotten better and is actually usable for real production-level work. Still a long way to go but it is decent.

Something shifted today. Me and our PM one-shotted a page change in an existing product with Claude Design + Claude Code. Same design language. Existing features. Real implementation. This is not “make me 10 landing pages.” It is the product/design/frontend handoff getting compressed. Are you seeing this too, or was this still a lucky run?

@kedytcom That is true. A lot of Android apps can be cross platform React Native apps that are just not as smooth.

Android users don't spend less because they're cheap. They spend less because most apps treat Android like an afterthought. Bad UX, delayed features, buggy releases. If you ship Android with the same care as iOS, the revenue gap shrinks fast.

Yeah people need to start really streamlining their prompts. The other way even the AI has to communicate using fewer words. I've noticed often that the responses are really wordy. I started using this plugin called Caveman for Claude. That's pretty good. Apparently it saves a lot of tokens.

Please stop saying “Hi”, “Hello”, “Bye”, “Thanks”, and “Sorry” to AI models. Those extra tokens need servers. Servers need electricity. Electricity needs resources. - Save tokens. - Save energy. - Save the planet. Your chatbot won’t get offended.

It’s meticulous work, but also incredibly rewarding. Are you using any tools for automating the process? Like plugins or AI? In an onboarding kit - I’d love to have unique variations of existing components, and maybe some custom ones. For eg: I want the same card component, but with a different gradient applied. I like to jazz it up and get the user started at a high point.

I’m revamping the whole design system, so the launch won’t be super soon... but I’m honestly excited about where it’s going. 😀😀 I’m now expanding it into a proper UI kit with onboarding flows and documentation. So it’s not just components but it’s built to be used, understood, and shipped. Taking more time, but I want to make it solid. What’s one thing you’d love to see in a SaaS onboarding UI kit?
