@TBW5150 @JoeGoodberry I did the same last season. We live in Chicago though, so it’s not like the other option is much better.
English

@TraceyRyniec @Jessicalessin I assume Chicago is an old economy city, how do we benefit from the AI Revolution?
English

@Jessicalessin Will be interesting to see. Personally, should be deploying reporters to the old economy cities who are the real beneficiaries of the AI Revolution.
English

We are in the process of relocating three reporters to San Francisco from around the world—a sea change from when our San Francisco reporters were all leaving for our New York bureau during the pandemic.
While I love our New York and Hong Kong newsrooms, heading out West as a 25 year old to cover tech in California was the best career decision I'll ever make. And now is an even more exciting time.

@jaycaspiankang I think this is right, also why Dems need a southern presidential candidate

@YankeeGunner Thanks for the quick reply, decided to go a day early for a work trip. Looking forward to the meetup.

@Ironicglasses @michaelbd That’s right, carpenters and electricians who can’t do math don’t last too long.
English

@michaelbd My uncle is a master carpenter and stair builder. There’s not just a lot of manual skill involved, but a massive amount of math, like trigonometry. He never went to college.
English

Honestly, the best tradesman are now able to charge so much, I think they are getting valued. The most skilled woodworkers/cabinet makers, plumbers, and electricians are making money comparable to their customers.

We as a culture need to make it so young men feel no stigma for going into trades because it’s supposedly a less sophisticated vocation than college People in trades have industrial skills that literally make society function
English

@Stillmanator I like the system in England where you can’t just sell all your season tickets for a profit like we do here in the USA, but it doesn’t seem like the clubs make it easy on you.
English

A pattern we’re beginning to see across elite English teams. Clubs like ST holders because it’s a massive wedge of cash in June, which is good for accounting reasons. But secretly I think most clubs would like to enormously reduce the number so they can get different supporters in at higher prices. But they know the PR cost of telling thousands of ST holders to do one so now they’re coming up with very passive aggressive ST policies
English

@_PhilCosta Agreed, it’s a weird one. Doesn’t feel like we’re ever gonna score.

@BarstoolBigCat How proud vs disturbed should I be that my 13-year-old is now listening to PMT

@ReubenR80027912 @goldnecklace2 @CartoonsHateHer The village is way more important as they get older, everybody needs help with carpools and keeping an eye on each other‘s kids
English

@goldnecklace2 @CartoonsHateHer I’m not critiquing women, I am simply observing a phenomenon that *appears* to be very wide spread
English

@NecktieSalvage I agree mostly, but for a lot of kids the benefits outweigh the negatives, and it is a great way to build a community network through carpools and sharing the load

@radinfo @AndyWood1968 This is correct, but I still think there is a desire from the customer to make Teams work like their old PBX. Which presents opportunity to deliver professional and managed services to create a solution within Teams that does that.
English

@AndyWood1968 Andy, you are correct; there are many reasons it has stalled. Microsoft Teams often gets blamed, but then explain Zoom. 7.5M phone licenses and not partner friendly. From a service delivery stand point UCaaS is like PBX, while Teams is more like software.

@summersalt is it possible to talk to an actual human to get help with a return, it is seemingly impossible to get any real customer support?
