@bluewhitewall @Ergo_Mark I appreciate people want to be entertained but I’d rather Bradford got promoted playing unentertaining football than playing nice football and getting nowhere. Your situation seems similar to us two years ago and you have to stick with the manager
English

@bluewhitewall @Ergo_Mark When Alexander took over us, the football was dire at times and results were reasonable. Took us from low to a point off playoffs. Got his own players in that summer and we haven’t looked back. Fans for us were similar in that thought they were too big for L2.
English

Does anyone know if the Reading FC Leadership are genuinely aware of just how dissatisfied the majority of fans now are with Leam Richardson?

English

@Ergo_Mark Yeah you deserved nothing against us and we threw it away, still gutted about that haha. When Alexander took over us, the football was dire and results were reasonable. Took us from low to a point off playoffs. Got his own players in that summer and we haven’t looked back.
English

@will_w91 Our finest football came in the final 5 mins against you. We have primarily been exceptionally lucky with results whilst playing exceptionally poorly. Almost every game we are fundamentally outplayed. And interviews are like listening to David Brent!
English

@ChrisKibble2 @bantamsbanter And had we won those games, we may not have won the next game, as football works. Had we been better away, we may have not been as good at home. We’ll never know. I’m sure there’s games Cardiff would look back and think the same
English

@bantamsbanter Massively frustrating in places, mainly January and away form. If we hadn’t been so poor against Wimbledon and Wigan and wasteful against Reading we’d be hot on the tails of Cardiff
English

😂 this is actually unbelievable isn’t it?!
I was absolutely one of the “just need to stay up” brigade at the start of the season so this is beyond my wildest dreams!
Yet weirdly, it feels like it’s been a frustrating season.
Football eh?!

A win, away from home!!! Fantastic result!
Saw the game out with relative ease, even if it wasn’t easy on the heart.
Can’t believe I’ve seen someone comment about Powell not pressing, when everyone was purposefully sitting behind the ball and holding shape…bonkers #bcafc

@largacty3 @jessicaelgot @KarlTurnerMP 1. I’m not your mate
2. Says person behind a cartoon
He’s done what he believes is right before party politics. suspended him because of jury trials not this, this is an excuse to do it. Too often nothing happens in politics because MPs tow party line in fear of suspension
English

Karl Turner tells me he had no idea who McIntyre was and did not know he stood against Jess Phillips. He said he apologised to Phillips and said he would not have given the interview if he had done better research on who he was speaking to.
Jessica Elgot@jessicaelgot
I understand several MPs complained about an interview criticising No10 that Turner gave to Jody McIntyre for his X account. McIntyre is a campaigner who stood against Jess Phillips at the general election in a campaign she heavily criticised.
English

@jessicaelgot Hey @KarlTurnerMP you are a slimy, cowardly piece of shit - you deserve everything coming your way you fucking pathetic cunt
English

@Chandler_H_ @prodnose Yeah I get it, fans/pundits moan when the refs are right and when they are wrong.
Id just scrap Var and keep semi automated offside and goal line tech. Could even give refs a couple of reviews if they want to check a certain incident. Everything looks different in slow mo
English

@Chandler_H_ @prodnose And then they’ll be outcry as to what is daylight…is it enough daylight? Daylight is subjective and they’ll be outcry on that. The current system is as objective as it can be.

@GeorgeElek would be bonkers but I don’t think it’s a bad move. They just need someone to make the players feel good and set them up suitably. They realistically just need a bounce and all manager bounces usually come from picking spirits up in the short term, not through over analysis
English

@will_w91 I genuinely think Spurs hiring Sherwood would be one of the biggest headloss moments of the Premier League era
English

I know there aren’t loads of obvious candidates, but if your first choice is De Zerbi and your second choice is Dyche then you probably need to start the process again
Telegraph Football@TeleFootball
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Tottenham Hotspur will consider turning to Sean Dyche to rescue the club from relegation if first choice Roberto De Zerbi continues to insist that he will only take the job at the end of the season. @SamWallaceTel and @Matt_Law_DT report 👇 telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…
English

@GeorgeElek It’s not like it can get worse and needs a back to basics and pick the fans up. I don’t think they are very good in general, don’t agree with people saying they’ve got really good players, but they can’t defend clearly, so need to find a way to score freely
English

@GeorgeElek I’m not a Spurs fan and hope they go down, I support Bradford and Arsenal (easy when they don’t clash), however if managers are hesitant about taking the job even in the short term due to the uncertainty around what league they are in, then they should just turn to Sherwood.
English

@JamieRaynor @danielsw1997 The fact they didn’t name a GK on the bench makes it look like it was pre-meditated. I haven’t seen the clip back but did he even take a bang on the head. As with all teams in football nowadays, if you hold your head the ref has to stop the game like when Sarcevic was through
English

The question was, ‘was that a concussion substitute?’. The answer, ‘not a concussion.’ Looking at it from a neutral standpoint, you can understand the confusion that’s being felt by some. I think the underlying point here isn’t criticism towards Clough, Mansfield or any specific team, it’s more the laws of the game and how they are being enforced by the officials. I commend any team or manager’s ability to use the laws in their favour, it’s clever management. The inconsistency of how those laws are being applied, or are sometimes not being upheld, is more the point in question from my standpoint, anyway
