I'm at the pediatrician office for a well child visit with my daughter. Appointment was 9:20. Vitals taken and paperwork filled out, but still waiting to see a doctor.
Reason #30584 of why healthcare in the US sucks. Why can every other sector keep appts, but physicians can't?

@sgremminger If ever one should allow for grace for unexpected schedule delays…one would think the bigger picture, you’re child’s health, would be worth the sacrifice. That is our priority, and the minutes necessary for that may at times run over. Forest among the trees.

Some days on trauma/ACS it was me and 2 med students doing an ex-lap while the attending was opening up a chest, and other days nothing happened all night.
Hard to have objectives with such an unpredictable experience.
