@Nickisbackbaby Pro Lifers do not trust humanity. The only time they trust humanity is when you are in the womb. Outside the womb you are undeserving of empathy. If you are poor you are lazy. If you are accused you are guilty. And so it's no wonder Pro Lifers love the death penalty.

Can you explain to me like I'm a child. Why do liberals oppose the death penalty for violent criminals but happily support ending a pregnancy?

People who are mad at the government but not Musk need to realize that Musk is the result of government policies. The outcome. He couldn't have accomplished this without government.

If the federal government taxed every single penny of Elon Musk's wealth tomorrow, it wouldn't end world hunger, or cure cancer, or "fix" the climate. In fact, nothing would change at all. How do I know this? Because the federal government spends that same trillion dollars EVERY TWO MONTHS, and they have exceedingly little to show for it. They've had their chance a thousand times over. I would rather that trillion dollars remain in the hands of the man who gives us self-driving cars — the man who offers hope to the paralyzed, and makes space flight affordable. Let the man cook.

@TheSurvivalPodc @elonmusk A teacher has two students. She treats Student A favorably allowing him to play with blocks. She requires Student B to clean before playing. Student B says "gee, Student A doesn't steal from me." Not knowing Student A bribes the teacher.

Turns out my net wealth was unaffected by @elonmusk becomming a trillionaire. Huh, that is interesting. Almost like he didn't steal my money to get rich. 🤔

Elon Musk is richer today—in absolute, inflation-adjusted, and relative economic-power terms—than John D. Rockefeller was at his peak and deserves to be the first trillionaire. We’re lucky to be living overlapping lives.

Do people think musk is a trillionaire because he literally has $1 trillion sitting in a bank account that he can disperse as he pleases? People are even more financially illiterate than I thought.

@BartholomewKin2 Why in the world does the government need to fund its current levels? Its spending is out of control (unlike Elon's), and has been for a long time.

I still get confused as to why the left flipped on Musk…I thought because he was making electric cars and was a pioneer of green energy that they would like him? They do care about green energy right? What’s the problem?

Elon Musk becomes the world's first trillionaire... And people are furious. What's the crime? Innovation, value creation, or success?

The counterfactual to x # of abortions is not x # of babies. If abortion were made completely inaccessible, sexual behavior would change, contraceptive behavior would change, the normal # would be lost to miscarriage, and carrying a baby to term changes sexual behavior and reduces the rate at which you can get pregnant and have abortions.

Approximately 200 years ago Jacob Astor became the first American millionaire. Today there are 25 million American millionaires. Because capitalism works.

The world's first trillionaire is no cause for celebration. Let's tax this egregious wealth so we can fund basic public services like housing, healthcare & childcare (@ewarren has a plan for this that I’m excited to sign onto!). The oligarchs are rich enough. Let's invest in working people for a change.

The people who complain about the government printing money are the same ones who now say we can have multiple trillionaires like Elon Musk.

@brianeskow It's not about his status. It's about the system. Our government doesn't bring in enough revenue to fund free healthcare & free education or support public amenities to improve quality of life.

If you are saying that the Karmelo Anthony verdict is unjust, knowing full well that a child is dead because Karmelo stabbed him through the heart, would you say the same if the roles were reversed? If Karmelo was a white young man and Austin a black one, would you be crying foul on the same verdict? If not, then your opinion is invalid and also dangerous. Black people aren’t entitled to a different standard of justice just because some parts of our nation’s history are ugly. The crime is the crime, and the punishment is the punishment—no matter your skin color—so if you wouldn’t be crying about this same verdict if the roles were reversed, you are evil and anti-American.
