@basedganyu Then I would tell you beauty is subjective, if I hang something on my wall it’s because I like the way it looks and the way it enhances the decor, not because some other person spent 60 hours on it.
English

What if I told you that the beauty of art is in the process and not the result

Gamers voted, Ubisoft died.
- 1.3 BILLION euros in losses.
- Tough Austerity measures imposed.
- Historic low in Ubisoft history.
- Will not return to profitability until 2027 or 2028.
- Ubisoft will focus on live service games.
They told us Ubi was winning, that the chuds had no effect, that Assassin's Creed Shadows was doing well.
Ladies & Gentlemen, take your victory lap. No studio was more DEI infested than Ubisoft. You voted with your wallets and took down one of the biggest AAA game companies in the world.

@BlackDumpling No… we are on the cusp of the modern day Industrial Revolution.

Prompt of the Day: INNER SPELL AWAKENING 💜💚
Today’s prompt is a single-image character transformation prompt.
I WILL BE DOING SEADANCE ANIMTIONS OF THE BEST ONES I SEE
@Image1 = your character / OC reference
Your character becomes a dark, godlike spellcaster, summoning a massive spell that represents their true inner self.
Not just random magic.
Their soul.
Their power.
Their wound.
Their myth.
Their final form. 😈
Upload your character reference first, paste the prompt underneath, and show us what their inner spell looks like.
We want to see what happens when your character stops hiding what they really are.
......................PROMPT START HERE........................
Use @Image1 as the source of truth for the character.
Create a 16:9 cinematic image.
Transform the character from @Image1 into an epic, dark, godlike spellcaster summoning a massive spell that embodies their true inner self.
First, deeply analyze the character from @Image1. Focus on their face, hairstyle, body type, outfit, colors, accessories, species traits, symbols, expression, posture, emotional energy, and overall aesthetic. Use that analysis to understand who they are at their core.
Based on that identity, determine what kind of godlike power would awaken from within them. The spell must feel personal and symbolic, not generic. It should embody the character’s hidden power, emotional truth, deepest nature, inner mythology, or spiritual essence.
The character and the spell must be the main focus of the image. The viewer should clearly see the full character and the full scale of the spell being cast. Show the magic forming around them, above them, behind them, or spreading outward from them in a dramatic way.
Adapt the character’s outfit into a more divine, magical, spellcasting form while clearly preserving their original identity. The redesign should feel like a dark fantasy evolution of the original character — fitting for a witch, sorcerer, archmage, divine summoner, dark saint, or godlike being. Keep their core design recognizable, but elevate it into something mythic, powerful, and awe-inspiring.
Show the character actively casting the spell in a powerful, commanding pose. They should feel overwhelming, ascended, and godlike, as if they have awakened into their true final form. Preserve their core identity from @Image1, especially their face, hairstyle, colors, body type, key accessories, species traits, and overall design essence.
The spell should visually express the character’s true self. It may manifest as celestial phenomena, divine symbols, spirits, shadows, storms, flames, chains, wings, creatures, runes, mirrors, cosmic energy, elemental force, or any other form that best fits the character.
Place the character in a large open outdoor setting or a wide city environment with enough room for the spell to breathe and for later animation. The environment should support the scene without overpowering it. Keep the background atmospheric and dramatic, but secondary to the character and spell.
Camera composition:
Use a wide full-body heroic shot from a dramatic low angle or slightly low cinematic angle. Pull the camera back far enough to show the character’s entire body and the large spell effect around them, but keep the character clearly visible, readable, and central. Do not crop the character. Do not make the character tiny or lost in the environment.
Cinematic camera style:
Wide cinematic framing, full-body character visibility, dramatic low-angle perspective, shallow depth of field focused on the character and spell, volumetric lighting through smoke, mist, dust, or magical particles, low-key high-contrast lighting, subtle 35mm film grain, cinematic color grading, and restrained chromatic aberration only where the spell energy distorts the air.
Style:
Epic dark fantasy, cinematic, highly detailed, atmospheric, emotionally powerful, visually striking, dark and beautiful, with the strongest detail concentrated on the character and the spell rather than the background.

@Grunt2A Your other prints seem to stick pretty good from the other vids I’ve seen, is this by chance the same filament as the support failure from the Vader print.?
English

@certifiedzester Whole card was sad… absolute clown show. Many of those people had zero business being in a ring.
English

@Grunt2A I love how it just seems to walk away, like nahh not today. Another setting I’ve had a lot of success with is infil on supports. Not sure what slicer you on, but it was a recent addition to orca. It has increased my support strength and dependability dramatically.
English

Earlier I posted my new 3D printed Darth Vader pen holder (My printer had 8 hours of free time for a change. I didn't want it to get lazy)
Here is the time lapse of the print because it's fun to watch and also to demonstrate why you should use brims on your supports. Half way through you can see the support on the right get knocked off and pushed aside. There were two more in the back that got knocked down too (can't see them in the video)
The result was a sloppy print. Fortunately it didn't destroy the print and I was able to clean up the sloppy bottom facing parts (back of his helmet, under his arms) that were unsupported with an X Acto knife and it turned out good enough to sit on my desk at work
But it also could have turned into a spaghetti mess and a waste of the print time and filiment. All because I didn't put brims on the supports to keep them stable.
I find the supports are my most common fail points, and usually because one got knocked over by the print head, which wouldn't happen if the supports had brims around the bottom to make them more stable on the build plate.
This was because I downloaded a ready to print 3MF file rather than an STL where I would have had to set my own print settings
Nothing wrong with downloading a ready to go 3MF but always check the settings. I didn't here

@Deltawolf555 I use the whale oil industry as an example. At one time whaling was the 5 largest industry in the world. Then came petroleum and it destroyed an entire industry, bankrupted corporations, 100’000s out of work, reshaped the economy….. but it kickstarted the Industrial Revolution🤷♂️

A little peak inside a chat I use for various creative things, just after a major systems break through,
Kinda done beating around the bush with the argument so just gonna lay it out,
If you think AI does everything, and it's taking away from human creativity, this is for you:
You're a brain dead moron, incapable of rational thought processes.
Not only are you a moron, you are the most dangerous type, the one that believes itself to be intelligent, and you are so stupid that you can't even grasp the concept of this.
I'm done hearing about it. We are all laughing at you.
You will be left behind, and that's exactly where you should be, at the bottom.

English

@mask_bastard The Ai says the unofficial but most common name is a Gloom.
English

@YourPalAnus AI is here, cats out the bag and no going back. Within a year or so it’ll be in every media project. Put simply it offers too great of an opportunity in lowering costs to pass up for any business looking to turn a profit. The anti-AI crowd are making fools of themselves.
English

Performative.
Using AI for background elements is not reason to do this to a small studio. Why do you want artists to die for their craft?
OT has always been an issue in the industry, if small background elements are used to fill out the world, that is not a game being made with AI.
Dexerto@Dexerto
VTuber Ironmouse has canceled her sponsorship with the game 'Neverness to Everness', and claims they lied to her about their use of AI “They had told my people that there’s no AI in it ... I didn’t know until I saw that thing on Twitter after the stream”
English

@ExxAlerts Appropriate response, if you box me in I will consider myself taken hostage and react accordingly.
English

@SamaHoole This is why I have a strict policy of skepticism, (and many others examples involving religion and politicians) I never 100% believe anything that I can’t prove myself. Also if the person telling me is being paid to do so, that skepticism increases in proportion by the amount.
English

Things the medical consensus has told you with complete confidence:
Thalidomide is safe in pregnancy.
Margarine is better than butter.
Smoking doesn't cause lung cancer.
Low-fat diets prevent heart disease.
Vioxx is safe for long-term cardiovascular use.
Statins have no meaningful side effects.
Dietary cholesterol causes heart attacks.
OxyContin has a less than one percent addiction rate.
Red meat causes colon cancer.
Benzodiazepines are a safe long-term solution for anxiety.
Six to eight servings of grains a day.
None of these required an apology.
All of them required a prescription.
English

The year is 1950. Your doctor lights a cigarette and tells you smoking is fine. He read it in a study. He is telling the truth about having read it. He does not know, or is not saying, that the study was funded by the tobacco industry.
The year is 1958. Your doctor tells you to eat less fat. The evidence is contested. The contestation is not in the public messaging. The food industry has been helpful in clarifying which findings deserve attention. Some researchers who published contradictory data have been quietly defunded. Ancel Keys is on the cover of Time magazine.
The year is 1962. Your doctor prescribes thalidomide to your pregnant wife for morning sickness. It has been approved. The FDA gave it the green light in Europe. Twelve thousand children will be born with severe limb malformations before anyone in an official capacity acknowledges the problem. The families are told the drug was safe. The drug was approved. Both of these things remain true.
The year is 1972. Your doctor prescribes Valium. Britain is in the grip of a benzodiazepine wave that will last two decades. The dependency risk is known internally. It is not shared. Your doctor is not lying to you. He was not told either.
The year is 1999. Your doctor prescribes Vioxx for your arthritis. It is newer than ibuprofen, well-tolerated, and Merck has a study showing it works. Merck also has internal data suggesting it roughly doubles the risk of heart attack. This data will not reach your doctor for four more years. Fifty thousand people are estimated to have died in the interim. Merck eventually settles for 4.85 billion dollars. No criminal charges are brought.
The year is 2002. Your doctor prescribes OxyContin. Purdue Pharma trained its sales representatives to tell doctors the addiction risk was less than one percent. That figure came from a letter, not a study. The letter was about patients with terminal cancer on short-term doses in hospital settings. Your doctor is a GP with a patient who has a bad back. Nobody draws a distinction. Nobody is required to.
The year is 2008. Your doctor checks your cholesterol. Your LDL is elevated. You are prescribed a statin. Nobody mentions that the number needed to treat for primary prevention is approximately 250. Nobody mentions that the muscle deterioration you'll notice over the next two years is listed as a rare side effect rather than a documented pattern affecting a meaningful percentage of patients. The trial that informed the prescription was funded by the manufacturer.
Now it is today.
Your doctor has new guidelines. New studies. New consensus.
He is confident.
He has always been confident.
The confidence has never been the problem.
The confidence is, in fact, precisely the problem.

@SirBylHolte I agree, however I quite enjoyed Alien Earth, and the Alien franchise has always leaned in to a female lead from the very beginning. Also this thing is wicked.

English

HOLLYWOOD'S BIGGEST CON: The Bait-and-Switch Titles.
“Monarch: Legacy of Monsters": Come for kaiju mayhem, get crying Japanese lesbian family drama and a girlboss hacker who outsmarts all the useless men.
“Alien: Earth”: Come for the unstoppable killing machine on Earth — get a girlboss whose POWER turns it into her personal male-killing pet.
“The Acolyte”: instead of male heroes learning the ways of the Force, you get lesbian space witches.
“Starfleet Academy”: Come for space exploration and learning from new cultures, get dystopian future, personal drama, emotions, and identity/trauma crap.
"Rings of Power”: Marketed as a grand return to Tolkien’s epic world, but delivers girlbosses, race-swapped characters, and modern political messaging.
“Doctor Who”: the WHITE MALE time-traveler becomes first a nasty KAREN crowing about female superiority, then a BLACK GAY man bitching about "THE STRAIGHTS."
All of them marketed to lure in the original male fanbase with familiar names and iconic brands, only to spit in their faces with the anti-male content.
It’s a smug declaration that "we women are in charge now, and we’re turning every good thing you men have made into SHIT."
I can’t stress this enough:
🖕these people.
