This is all well and good and very thought out. However, it does not change the fact of Volpe's inability to have any baseball IQ. That is what frustrates the fan base. The challenge on a clear strike call, getting picked off with your best hitter at the plate and then have the audacity to blame the ump for your stupidity. Not getting the lead runner on a double play when you should have the timing down by now on who is on base and how fast they are and their lead. The errant throws that are saved by Goldy but he cant pick everything. The list goes on and on of the stupidity of a player he is and people who watch every inning and every at bat are tired of it. Yes he has talent and puts in the work. He just doesn't get it more times then not. That is what has frustrated the fan base. Trade him now while his value is as high as it's ever going to be. It's part of why they got Amed Rosario It's part of why they got Cody Bellinger It's part of why they got Max Schuemann And it's part of why they got Cabby And one of the biggest reasons for acquiring guys with positional versatility is to...and get this...USE THEM FLEXIBLY when 2 of 3 starting OFs are out with injury. It also allows you to play more into R vs L / L vs R match-ups; it's one of the big reasons they've been so successful against LHP & RHP. Listen to these stats: vs LHP: .788 OPS (2nd) vs RHP: .758 OPS (3rd) vs LHP AS RHB: .871 OPS (1st) vs RHP AS LHB: .758 OPS (16th) People who think Volpe is just playing SS right now for funsiest and because Boone is favoring him are so fucking stupid it's hard to even wrap my head around. Whether you disagree/agree, there's a valid rationale behind it. Cabby has played close to 2x the innings Volpe has at SS: Volpe: 0 DRS / 2 OAA / 2 FRV Cabby: +5 DRS / 0 OAA / 0 FRV Now I happen to think Cabby has been a better defender at SS than Volpe this year but that difference objectively has not nearly been enough to justify public psychotic freak outs EVERY day Volpe is starting. If you disagree with Jones being protected vs LHP, that's fine in my eyes. I agree with the org's decision but I can understand why some might disagree. But at the end of the day, people need to see the entire line of logic and connect the fucking dots. Stop being neanderthals and use your fucking heads.

The main reason D2 is not profitable is because of the cost of maintaining it. They would have to start from scratch to fix that and 2 and half years probably wouldn't be enough. Not to say your idea isn't good, but the cost of doing this without innovating a new product would never fly as a pitch that Sony would greenlight

Bungie should relaunch Destiny 2 and turn it into Destiny Infinity ONE game where the ENTIRE Light and Darkness Saga is available From Destiny 1 to Renegades, and then move forward with brand new content and story Multiple games sucks for narrative and New Player experience

Girardi is right that Volpe has been better on defense this year, and both the eye test and metrics says that. People that argue otherwise just formed their opinion and aren't open to not hating everything Volpe does at all times
