@bluthundyr @12are12 And it worked. My brother has never touched another JRPG since, and will always talk bout his FFVII experience highly. I can tell him there are more better JRPGs since then but he doesn’t care. FFVII and the time it came out was something special, and those who were there know.

I think people that weren’t old enough to experience FFVII when it came out will never understand. You cannot put into worths what that game did for the industry & JRPG genre from that point on. FFVII was the STANDARD. #FinalFantasyVII

FFVII es el juego más sobrevalorado de la historia, no porque sea un mal juego (original y remake me parecen normalitos) sino porque siempre se habla de él como uno de los RPGs más importantes de la historia cuando no inventó NADA y si no existiera el género seguiría igual.

@FutureTrunks382 This is also why you have a split fan base of final fantasy 7 & the franchise as a whole. It’s crazy how much more cinematic focused the games became while also becaming less serious. I’m not sure who these games are supposed to appeal to anymore & I think FF16 is a good example.

@FutureTrunks382 Final Fantasy has been co-opted by zoomers and Zillennials that think they know what final fantasy is cause they played a game in 2026 that released in 1997. Thats like telling a NYer who was alive on 9/11 what it was like, but the person wasn’t even born yet and from in Florida.

@_Sanjuro_art_ You’d only understand if you were of age to be around when the game released. I was 16, it was a phenomenon. It brought JRPGs closest to mainstream as can be in 1997. I have family members who played that as there ONLY JRPG And LAST they ever played to this date.

Resident Evil Veronica is confirmed to be fully third person game. ▫️ Developed by the same team as RE2 and RE4 remake ▫️ Capcom considers Veronica just as important as the numbered titles ▫️ Some things will be 'retuned' ▫️ Modernized gameplay, reimagined storyline, and vividly detailed graphics ▫️ Because the story takes place only 3 months after RE2, Claire is not quite a seasoned veteran yet ▫️ Capcom shot down the fan theory that the 'V' in REV is supposed to stand for the number five, rather they wanted to make it one impactful word similar to other entries (via @Eurogamer)
