@Generic42 @TracketPacer I figured you knew the purpose, but the naming is only silly or confusing if you’re familiar with layer 2/3 networking. There’s decades of precedent for casuals calling this functionality a switch, like KVM switches, serial A/B switches, or light switches for example.

@TracketPacer @Generic42 It’s an A/B switch. Press a button and switch between A and B. Probably for people with two devices they want to connect one at a time to a single wall connection. Definitely confusing terminology in the network space.
