Beyond the opportunities available on Solana, the tech itself is what makes it very valuable and the chain that can truly drive mass adoption, especially here in Nigeria (in my opinion). Before now, Nigerians have experienced a lot of challenges, especially when it comes to access to global financial markets. This has, in a way, pushed many Nigerians to start adopting crypto, and Nigeria is now one of the leading crypto markets. It is also a great market with a pool of talented people building solutions to issues faced by us. Now, Nigeria has a large population and a great market, but then again, it is a very complicated market. Here, you have to learn how to remove friction and build trust as fast as possible if you really want your product to gain traction, apart from building a reliable product. To some extent, even our local banks still have some friction when it comes to transfers, which fintechs like OPay have helped eliminate or reduce. They now process billions of naira, or even trillions, in transactions within a month and have grown significantly within a fairly short time. Solana provides a very fast chain that can process many transactions in a matter of seconds, with gas fees that are almost not noticeable. Now imagine if products like OPay could integrate Solana. It would make adoption possible even for small-scale businesses and everyday market traders. Imagine the scale of transactions that would be processed daily and the fun part is here people mostly care about something that truly works not necessarily the tech behind it, and in my opinion, if we truly want mass adoption then we have to create things that just feel natural to use that people hardly even notice chain. This is definitely the chain for us. 💯
