#OUTA tried to engage with @rtia_aarto, provincial governments and all authorities involved. (Since 2017). They don't want to listen. Left us no choice but to take the whole #AARTO matter to court.

@OUTASA Once again government wants to implement legislation which has not been thought through properly. In future I suggest government gets off its high horse and engages with experts in the private sector. This will save them billions of Rand's in the long run.

I see nothing in this report to suggest that the incredibly [legally] misinformed EMPD made any effort to establish the voracity of the doctor's claims and I sincerely doubt that she said she was "late for work". Let's see what happens in court tomorrow. @News24

Under the AARTO Amendment Act, a person who drives under the influence of alcohol, but commits no other traffic infringements must be convicted NINE TIMES before his or her driving licence is cancelled. Tell me again how the AARTO Act improves road safety. @AASouthAfrica
