A big few weeks for Local Government. 💷 A budget and now a policy statement that invests in local communities 🏗️ Devolution plans that will push power back to local communities too. Pleased to see @JimfromOldham deliver his remarks earlier at the CPP’s conference.

Great to speak at the Centre for Progressive Policy conference today on the important of delivering the governments missions, wider and deeper devolution, rebuilding local government and reforming public services. A lot to do, but working as partners in power central and local government will transform the country for the better.
