Today @Keir_Starmer met with senior leaders from X, Meta, Snap, YouTube and TikTok. This was his message to them: It’s time to act. There are no free passes. We’re putting children’s safety first.

@BBCSurrey The police are basically accomplices to the crimes being committed by migrants. You must really be desperate for employment (or just happen to be a sociopath) to become a UK policeman in these times.

The parliamentarian is never the problem. The parliamentarian is who senators blame when they don’t have the votes but don’t want to be held accountable for never doing what they promise. The parliamentarian is a shiny object meant to distract you from the actual villains.
Paul@WomanDefiner

Anna Paulina Luna is right. John Thune could simply remove the parliamentarian, place a republican in that spot who will motion that the SAVE act only needs 51 votes to pass. They have let a Democrat control how many votes a bill needs since 2012.

I’m not sure how they could possibly make it more obvious that they are running an op to separate Catholics from the right, but if you needed more evidence, here you go. This CNN dude is such a bad propagandist
Kaitlan Collins@kaitlancollins

Father Edward Beck: "I think that Catholics are recognizing that, and they're upset by it. Not only Catholics. I hear a lot of people, Jews, Christians, talking to me, saying, 'What is going on with this president? He's gone off the rails with this. And why is he picking the Pope to have this battle with?'"

Knights of Columbus
Statement From Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly: In recent days, many Catholics and other people of goodwill have been deeply disappointed by the disparaging comments directed at Pope Leo XIV by the President of the United States. The Successor of Saint Peter is not a politician — he is the Vicar of Christ, entrusted with proclaiming the Gospel and shepherding souls. The Knights of Columbus has always stood in solidarity with the Holy Father, recognizing in him a spiritual father who calls the world not to division, but to unity, not to conflict, but to peace. In this moment, we reaffirm that commitment with clarity and conviction. At the same time, we recognize that faithful Catholics can and do engage vigorously in the public square, and that nations have a right and duty to safeguard the security of their own people — always in accordance with the demands of justice and the pursuit of peace. The Church does not ask Catholics to withdraw from civic life, but to engage with and elevate it — bringing to our civic dialogue the light of truth, respect for the dignity of every human person, and a steadfast concern for the common good. Pope Leo XIV has consistently called for peace, dialogue, and restraint in a world marked by war and suffering. The Holy Father’s words are not political talking points — they are reflections of the Gospel itself. Whether one agrees or disagrees with particular policy judgments, the Holy Father’s prophetic voice deserves to be heard with respect and engaged seriously. As Knights, we are called to be men of unity, as followers of Christ and patriotic citizens. I encourage all Knights of Columbus to pray for the Holy Father, to pray for civic leaders, and to pray for peace and those working to achieve it. And let us recommit ourselves to charity in our public discourse. May we be known not for echoing the divisions of our time, but for healing them. In a moment of tension, the path forward is not louder conflict, but deeper fidelity — to truth, to charity, and to the Gospel.

Of the three Republican appointed justices in their seventies, there's so much focus on Alito and Thomas. Maybe people in the pressuring business should pressure John Roberts to retire instead.

Jesús Enrique Rosas@Knesix

So the Pope met with David Axelrod last week. David Axelrod. Obama's campaign architect. A man who is not Catholic, has never met a pope before, and whose entire career has been engineering political narratives for the American left. And then, by pure coincidence, the Pope immediately started lobbing shots at the Trump administration, and three US Cardinals popped up on 60 Minutes doing the same thing. All organically, I'm sure. I'm a practicing Catholic. I need you to understand that part. But in my opinion, Trump has all the right to lash out at him. Maybe you'll disagree, but in the end, Trump talks like Trump. Water is wet. I'm talking about MY Church being run like a DNC satellite office but with a golden throne. This is the same Vatican that watched governments padlock churches during COVID and said nothing. That let Biden take communion while funding abortion and said nothing. That fired Bishop Strickland for defending actual Church doctrine. That removed Bishop Fernández in Puerto Rico for defending religious exemptions THE CATECHISM ITSELF supports. But somehow Trump is the threat to human dignity. Pope Francis was bad. Leo has turned out to be worse. Francis at least was vague about his politics. Leo went and hired the consulting firm. The man has ignored the slaughter of Christians across Nigeria, the Sahel, India, Syria, Bangladesh, Pakistan. Hundreds of believers murdered, churches burned, pastors kidnapped. His response? Platitudes about dialogue. OF COURSE he won't even name who's doing the killing. But he'll fly across continents to make interfaith gestures the week after his people coordinated a media hit on a sitting US president. The weaponization of belief is obvious. You get the Pope to pick a fight with Trump, and suddenly millions of conservative Catholics have to choose between their faith and their vote.

In anticipation of tomorrow’s release of the IG Michael Atkinson transcript, here is the TLDR of the story. In August 2019, a supposed “whistleblower” filed a complaint with the Intelligence Community Inspector General, Michael Atkinson, targeting President Trump for his July 25 call with Ukrainian President Zelensky. The complaint was based on second hand hearsay information and triggered the process that led to Trump’s first impeachment. The allegation was that Trump demanded a quid pro quo, specifically military aid in exchange for an investigation into Biden family corruption in Ukraine. That claim was untrue, as the transcript later proved (I visualized the ridiculousness of the claim below). But for Atkinson that part was no problem. He could just claim it was true. His problem was that the claim was hearsay and therefore didn’t meet the requirements under his own rules. So Atkinson secretly changed the IG complaint form to allow hearsay. This was sharply identified by @MZHemingway, @climateaudit, and others in real time, by comparing the form to archived versions. They showed that Atkinson made an unannounced, backdated revision to rig the process and greenlight a politically motivated hearsay complaint that otherwise wouldn’t have cleared even the most basic credibility bar. Atkinson was never held to account, but he did testify under oath behind closed doors to the House Intelligence Committee in late 2019. While all other transcripts related to the Ukraine impeachment process were eventually released, this one has been guarded like radioactive material. It is now finally being made public, and will hopefully shed light on the internal mechanics of how Atkinson, Schiff, the Vindman brothers, and whoever else carried out the Ukraine impeachment scam.

I'm waking up with a headache and stiff neck this morning due to how violently anti-ICE activist, Chris Ostroushko, shoved me down yesterday. A second angle shows that he had to be held back by 5 men as he continued to charge at me. I didn't speak a word to him all day yet he repeatedly called me a bitch and very clearly looks like he wanted to violently hurt me even worse than he did. I'm happy to report that charges will be brought against this man, his wife and daughter.
