The best solution is the alternative suggested by some on GitHub. Anything 14 days and older stays as it is now. Anything that is 14 days and longer remains unchanged. Only the very short staking periods 48 hours, 3 days, etc receive significantly lower rewards, while longerterm stakes are barely affected or not affected at all.
