Why do you have to shake an iPhone so much harder to get Expo to reload than you do an android phone? 😂

@anumness They say you need around 50-80 events per week for meta to optimize who they send you. So the budget is way too low to optimize for purchases, and probably even trial starts or installs. Is this campaign primarily iOS?

@MariusFerraro08 Zooming out and noticing how much better it's getting better each week/month/year. Unless you have a reason to doubt the initial market research you did, all there is to do is keep improving either product or marketing (whatever the current bottleneck is)

I'm giving away the Claude Code skills we use to manage $300k/mo in ad spend at ColdIQ. 4X ROAS on $1M+ spent. Ivan, our head of growth, built them off 300+ hours running ad campaigns for our clients. They run Google, Meta, and LinkedIn ads from the terminal in plain English: → bulk edits across platforms → custom audiences from CRM lists → creative fatigue detection before CTR dips → bid adjustments at scale → performance audits across periods Reply "ads" and I'll send the full repo. Must be following.

Just hit $15 MRR. Which means after 94 hours invested into this project i can now buy... - a 3-set of Ikea tupperwear - 2 Ice-matchas - a 15 pack of Prime Cherry Freeze flavour from Walmart lol

@jayvraavi @mattwelter How do you deal with the fact that Claude/codex do way better the more context you give them? At the speed I type, a lot of that context isn't worth it, but with voice I include everything I can think of and the results are night and day

I told Claude what equipment I had, what I liked, and asked for a relatively balanced set of 5 upper body exercises. - pullups - pushups - dips - overhead press - dumbbell rows I have a split for legs as well and just do the same thing every other day and it's awesome

If you're busy, the easiest hack to get in great shape is to just do the same routine over and over. I was coming in the gym for months, hopping between exercises, not tracking weights. I decided to do the same 5 exercises and track in a Google sheet and my progress skyrocketed

@gabriel_mlx Where do you position it? Is it after some type of quick win or early value? Or is it literally just in the middle of your onboard questions?

@cesaralvarezll Congrats, what's the niche? So your paywall will be weekly or annual, no trial at all? I'm assuming hard paywall?

Despite barely doing any marketing over the past few days My app just hit $233 MRR 🔥 I’ve got a major update coming that will position it as one of the top options in the niche. After that, the plan is simple: - Switch from a monthly plan to a weekly model - Remove trials from the annual plan - Start running my first ads No slowing down 🫡

I just hit $200 MRR 🔥 Just a month and a half after launching my app. Crazy what happens when you actually show up and put in the work.

Time to clean up my screenshots. I put these together in a hurry, but I can do much better. I spent time thinking through the copy and I'm hiring someone to design new ones. It's gonna be... - More specific, less general - More feature, less benefit - Better use of 1st 2 screens

A friendly reminder: 1) Don't change your paywall after passing review. 2) Don't try to work around App Store payment rules, even if they are not explicitly prohibited. 3) Don't use gray patterns to push subscriptions: three paywall screens in a row, hard paywalls, hiding the price, etc. 4) Watch your refunds and bad reviews, they lead to complaints about your app. 5) Don't overprice, that also leads to complaints. 6) Watch for spikes in reviews and ratings, it's one of the reasons Apple suspects review manipulation. 7) Don't violate IP. Rights holders may turn a blind eye for years, until they don't. 8) Be careful who you grant account access to. It can create a connection to a previously banned account. Always remember: Apple gives us the right to publish apps, and can take it away just as easily. Treat that right with care.

@seraleev What about if I have reasonable conversion? (4 paying users on 150 downloads, only 50 of whom are in my actual niche, no paywall after onboard, just 7 day free trial and user can upgrade if they want) Any advice on getting to 1000 installs? Thank you

Got a DM this morning that made my day. Mobile developer Roman spent 13 years (!!) building his app. MRR stuck at $250–300 for years. No growth, no crash. Just a plateau. A year ago he started following me. No drastic moves: just small, consistent changes. Organic traffic only. A few Reddit posts, some comments. The result? The MRR chart speaks for itself. This is what separates people who grow from people who don’t. Everyone gets the same information. Some implement it. Some wait for a miracle.

@bymarcoperez Beat you by 3 days :), you're winning on revenue and downloads though. I need to at least move to soft paywall, I don't even show a paywall during onboarding, just an free 7 days access and the user can upgrade via profile or after trial expires.

OpenAI has released the language in their contract with the DoW, and it's exactly as Anthropic was claiming: "legalese that would allow those safeguards to be disregarded at will". Note: the first paragraph doesn't say "no autonomous weapons"! It says "AI can't control autonomous weapons as long as existing law (that doesn't exist) or the DoD says so." Similarly, the mass surveillance use cases will "comply with existing law", but many forms of data collection that we'd consider "mass surveillance" are things that the NSA has consistently argued are legal under current law.
