While the West abandoned fast breeder technology after spending billions, India just achieved criticality at Kalpakkam for only $900 million. Facing a 1% global uranium reserve but holding 25% of the world's thorium, India refused to quit. By entering Stage 2 of Homi Bhabha’s 70-year-old vision, India is transitioning from uranium scarcity to a thorium-powered future. This breakthrough unlocks a 700-year energy supply, turning immense engineering difficulty into the price of total energy independence.

More and more interesting facts of Indian FBR keep on coming. The US spent $15 billion. Gave up. Japan spent $12 billion. Their Monju prototype had one sodium fire in 1995 and never recovered. The UK spent $8 billion. Germany spent $6 billion. France, Italy, all walked away. Six of the richest nations on Earth concluded this technology was too hard and too expensive to pursue. India started building in 2004 with an initial budget of $420 million. Twenty-two years, a dozen missed deadlines, and a cost doubling later, the Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam just sustained a controlled fission chain reaction. The reactor is now alive.

Lethal breach of a high-security military zone. Visuals for proof: x.com/MappingNEast/s… This was not a "public road protest." This was a direct breach of a CRPF Camp perimeter. Under Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), once a security perimeter is breached and a Weapon Armory is threatened, the Rules of Engagement (ROE) shift from "Crowd Control" to "Area Defense. Evidence shows hours of non-lethal restraint (tear gas/warning shots) were exhausted while the mob burned camp property and vehicles. When an armory—containing LMGs, mortars, and thousands of rounds—is targeted, lethal force is the final, mandated resort to prevent the looting of weapons that would kill thousands later. Shots fired in such high-stress breaches are aimed at the primary aggressors leading the charge to storm the gates. Authorization is held by the on-site Incident Commander when "imminent loss of lethal assets" is at play. The violation is the arson of a security camp during a national security crisis. Expecting forces to stand down while their base is torched and armory looted is a recipe for total anarchy.

Are close-range shots fired beside a public road a clear violation of protocol ? Tagging @MappingNEast to answer in on this footage. Please let us know exact SOPs for crowd control specifically : - The escalation ladder of force - Protocols for firing live ammunition - Post-firing protocols Furthermore, the footage raises critical questions that must be answered , please answer : 1. Where were the shots aimed ? 2. Who authorized the firing ? 3. Was immediate medical aid provided ? 4. Were all non-lethal alternatives strictly exhausted ? @sardesairajdeep @BDUTT @YKhemchandSingh @NBirenSingh @Bimol_Akoijam @UN @UNHumanRights @ijmonitor @amnesty @crpfindia

Footage confirms that CRPF personnel initially attempted to de-escalate the situation through peaceful negotiation and standard crowd-control measures. The situation at the Tronglaobi CRPF camp turned critical after a morning mortar strike killed two children. A large, angry crowd surrounded the camp and began setting fire to the buildings. As the mob breached the fences and tried to storm the weapon armory, security forces realized they could lose control of lethal weapons. After trying to stop the crowd with other methods, the CRPF was forced to use live fire as a last resort to protect the ammunition and the lives of the personnel inside. @HenzOnaha @Khonjel_Manipur @Lairenjao

Crpf camp Tronglaobi burned down by mob. Large sections of the CRPF camp have been burned down by the advancing mob. Visuals indicate extensive damage to residential quarters and administrative structures within the perimeter. Facing a direct threat to the weapon armories, which house sophisticated small arms and explosives, security personnel were forced to take defensive measures. To prevent the looting of lethal weaponry—which would catastrophic for regional security—personnel deployed controlled firing to push back the mob and secure the remaining tactical assets.
