@Winterrose @aleabitoreddit Can still be “America First” while being competitive w/ IBKR offering international stocks. They are missing out on tons of $ by ppl like myself creating a new/second brokerage acnt on IBKR for access to these

Product innovation from $HOOD would have been enabling international stock trading ASAP. Instead they doubled down on "prediction markets" + "raffles" + new crapcoin listings where retail recklessly lose their money. They also lost retail to $IBKR that now enabled Korean stock trading. Especially due to international stock growth from Taiwah, Korea, Europe, Japan. As a result, we saw new IBKR accounts grow to an all time high this quarter (just from qualitative experiences). My opinion is $HOOD missed earnings since they lost track of what they should actually do to help out retail investors. If they had retail investors all spending tons of TX fees from int. Equities trading, likely more margin usage, fees, cash on platform, wealth appreciation, and so on, which is the basis of the platform. Maybe things would have gone better despite digital asset downturn.

@Temple_Eight Sold this AM at $61…should have held tight another hour or 2. The burn in stocks you mentioned entering in your tweet last week, you anticipate at least 12 mo. time frame of likely holding? TRT been very volatile but I guess to be expected for a run up micro w/ recent offering

Craig - selling options for the win!
@johhnyWalkerAZ Sounding like $MRVL tried a takeover with a low ball offer and got pounded. Rumours about that they may be trying a hostile takeover. Things could get spicy here. Let’s get our white knight and get the valuation we deserve!

@Temple_Eight I think that’s smart. Your work speaks for itself - time and time again uncovering little known tickers and unknown bottlenecks that I’ve seen play out/re-rate in real time. Super impressive

@OG_PViews I actually don't read competitors sub stacks as I want to have my own original ideas and don't want to be incidentally influenced by anyone else.

@AtlasShrug1 @Temple_Eight I think this is spot on. Occasional puts to fade a big move, otherwise not worth the R/R IMO

What is the line between being early and being wrong? I worked in the hedge fund industry for many years with the best and brightest, but never encountered even 1 person who could consistently generate alpha shorting stocks. Personally I don’t do it, there are far too many ways to lose even if you are right on the fundamentals. For me just running w/ more cash when you aren’t constructive equities makes the most sense. Once in a great while I’ll buy puts, but even that I son’t do very often. The market goes up 80% of the time, if you’re short you’re like Cousin Eddie walked into the casino losing money in “pick a number between 1 and 10”.

@Temple_Eight Amazing trade. You think $65ish is a ceiling or just felt you had to take the massive gains in such a short time frame? Ik of course you’re expecting a major market pullback in coming months

@Temple_Eight I’m sure you got your hands full with research & writing for the substack but Rigaku (268A) may be of interest to you if haven’t already come across them. Onto bought a 27% stake in them today. Medical X ray company pivoting to chip diagnostics

@Temple_Eight @cesarsroy Yup I hear you. Short term trades/recent IPOs “chasing” (even 30-40%+ moves) can make sense when a stock is running like crazy/has a major potential catalyst. I’m actively trying to be better investing based on alpha, not price to avoid getting stuck on sidelines like me w/ MRVL

Its smart to do that. The only reason why I'm going against my normal good sense today is because it is a drone company and drone companies during IPO weeks have gone vertical. This is more of a trade into tomorrow. I'll probably close the position either tomorrow or the day after.

I bought some $AVEX today, despite it already being up 50% plus. The numbers are compelling enough to be a multibagger off of a fresh IPO.

@cesarsroy @Temple_Eight 6779* (NDK) but yup sometimes they get away from you. Japan stocks can be tough since IBKR only allows at least 100 share buys at a time. It’s not a lot of $ but my IBKR account is small compared to my other brokerages. Makes it harder to catch dips in smaller buys/DCA

@OG_PViews @Temple_Eight same here Mike, but I may reconsider in the future. For 6679 for example; i had a big order at 1580 to catch the dip. The mofo went down to 1582 ... and now its ripped 30% from there. I didnt get filled haha. For 2 miserable yens.

Re: $MXL The Rushmore platform also carries a 20 percent power per port advantage over legacy 1.6T DSP architectures. In a world where Meta and AWS have set hard 40-watt-per-port thermal ceilings for air-cooled data center deployments, a 20 percent power reduction is not something giga watt starved hyper scalers can afford to pass up on in 2026. We’ll let the stats speak for themselves: Rushmore supports 224G SerDes with sub-25 watt total module power in a 1.6T-DR8 configuration. It achieves this through MaxLinear’s CMOS direct-drive architecture, which eliminates the external driver amplifier stage that legacy DSPs require. This mirrors precisely what HyperLight’s TFLN Chiplet Platform achieves on the modulator side: both companies have independently converged on the same architectural conclusion, which is that removing the driver amplifier from the signal chain is the only sustainable path to air-cooled 1.6T deployment.

@aleabitoreddit Polymers have a ton of advantages over InP. It’s certainly speculative and TFLN likely will ultimately be best but the potential upside on LWLG is worth the risk. This post seems a bit sus tbh considering the other tickers you like/pump

Sorry but I’m convinced $LWLG is the current $RGTI of photonics. I have zero clue… How they’re valued at $1.8B. Foxconn’s optical arm Shunsin, for $NVDA CPO packaging, assembly, and testing… Is valued less at $1.4B? $SIVEF, the laser source for $JBL and $MRVL was 1/3rd their valuation earlier this week? Feels like dumb money institutions went into the wrong name off a development test agreement. I have no open positions, just confused
