Today I choose a physically healthy caffeine and a sort of spiritually healthy caffeine. This is Yaupon tea. It’s an entirely different plant than Black tea. And it’s (I think) the only native caffeinated plant in North America. But it’s very low in caffeine so gotta double or triple bag it!

Today I choose a more physically healthy caffeine and a spiritually-gray-area caffeine. Yerba Mate is a tea but it’s not made from the tea leaves that are against the Word of wisdom. It’s the leaf of a tree in South America. Also the stimulant is mateine, which is slightly chemically different than caffeine. It would have been a little healthier brewing straight from the leaf, which I do sometimes. But this one tastes better.

@PetGorilla @BillArnoldTeach I’m not sure when such a thing has happened. There are people who have tried corrupting the texts through mistranslations to accomplish worldly objectives like the Mormons have.

@BillArnoldTeach I don't remember the apostles burning people alive for wanting to read scripture in their native language.

Protestant friends: in your zeal to establish liturgical rhythms, don't overcorrect and defend Good Friday like it's a Holy Day of Obligation that Protestants need to celebrate. It's not even a Holy Day of Obligation for Catholics. Just fasting/abstinence.

@ShawnOnMission @Michael26433267 @McBrideLawNYC You said Mary isn’t the mother of God because Jesus never called her mother. However you also said God is the Holy Trinity though this term is never used in the Bible. Take a step further back you can’t explain the canon of scripture! How do you know the books you have are right

@ShawnOnMission @Michael26433267 @McBrideLawNYC I don’t believe you understand the critique of your position. For the sake of argument let’s say I’m totally wrong and have no clue where to start. What’s I’m saying is your worldview is incoherent. Here are some instances:

@ShawnOnMission @Michael26433267 @McBrideLawNYC Have you always been a retard? Likely. What I am arguing is that you have no grounding for any of your positions or views. If you have no grounding your worldview is inconsistent

@OrthodoxGabriel @Michael26433267 @McBrideLawNYC Ok. So you don’t believe God is perfect. Sorry I thought I was debating with a Christian. But that’s ok. It just means we’re going to need to back up a whole bunch of steps. So let’s start from the beginning. Do you believe there is a God? Do you believe in the Holy Trinity?

@ShawnOnMission @Michael26433267 @McBrideLawNYC My friend you haven’t established any way to make statements like this. Where do we go to identify if God is perfect or not? You haven’t provided any reason for one to believe this statement.

@ShawnOnMission @Michael26433267 @McBrideLawNYC Where do I go to see that? Do you not see this circular argument you are bringing? Why would a perfect God need to rely on unperfect illogical reasoning? Or would you just have an unperfect knowledge?

@OrthodoxGabriel @Michael26433267 @McBrideLawNYC Great question. Just put the books through this test: 1. God is perfect, therefore: 2. God doesn’t make mistakes & 3. God doesn’t contradict himself 4. God is same as yesterday, today, forever 5. God authored Bible with his 40+ scribes Only 66 books pass this test.

@ShawnOnMission @Michael26433267 @McBrideLawNYC Jesus gave the world His Church, you are not a member of His Church. What I’m asking you is simple if I have you a book how do you determine if it is part of Scripture or not? I’m saying you have no way of doing this.

@ShawnOnMission @Michael26433267 @McBrideLawNYC How can you verify the authenticity of any of those books, how do you know there are no others. Do you know the history of the Bible and the challenges with establishing the canon?

@Michael26433267 @OrthodoxGabriel @McBrideLawNYC Nope. God is the author with 40+ scribes. Jews are the keepers of the Torah & the Tanakh aka Old Testament, and the 66 books were guided by the Holy Spirit. The church no more gave us the Bible than the printers who printed it. Here’s my questions again x.com/shawnonmission…
Shawn@ShawnOnMission

@Michael26433267 @OrthodoxGabriel @McBrideLawNYC “Mother of God” is an unbiblical title invented centuries later. Scripture calls her the mother of Jesus, never “Mother of God.” One God, one Mediator: Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5. My question: Are you an adopted child of God? Is God you Father?
