Consultations have begun with the relevant government stakeholders to obtain verified information. The Commission urges the public to remain calm and allow these consultations to proceed. In Kenya, when the government switched off Citizen TV. The people took to the streets demanding the Television be back on immediately and in days it was. Can that ever happen in Uganda with NTV. My answer, never!

During my case, this TV used to air stories against me every single day flashing my picture all over even though I was falsely accused of taking 600 million from a woman. I kept wondering what I had done to them. But when the court dismissed the case and it became clear the money story was not true, they never came out to clear my name. I fully support what the CDF @mkainerugaba is doing and this should be a strong warning to all media houses to stop fighting people’s wars for money. Getting news that military officers are surrounding the home of @amwaafrika’s ED @musiimee. Apparently she’s one of those suspected of “hiding” 72 year old former Ethics Minister Miria Matembe who is being hunted down on the orders of CDF Muhoozi Kainerugaba since Wednesday this week.
