🟣 A Calgary family is expressing sincere appreciation to several members of our Service following a frightening incident that occurred earlier this month. Thanks to the swift life-saving actions taken by a CPS officer, a 17-month-old girl is alive & reunited with her family. 📍 On Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at approx. 9:20 p.m., Const. Chong, working out of District 8, observed a vehicle driving recklessly & speeding along eastbound Stoney Trail S.E. Upon pulling the vehicle over, he encountered an extremely distraught family with an unresponsive child, named Camila, in the back seat. The father was urgently en route to the hospital, as Camila was conscious, but exhibiting several signs of medical distress. Desperate for assistance, the mother instinctively passed Camila to Const. Chong, who initiated emergency life-saving measures. Const. Chong suspected the child was choking & after confirmation from Camila’s mother that she recently ate, he promptly performed back blows to dislodge the obstruction. As a result of his quick response, Camila’s airway cleared, but she still required urgent medical attention. Realizing the potential delay in waiting for an ambulance on the side of the road, Const. Chong provided a police escort for the family’s vehicle as they continued to the hospital. Additional D8 officers assisted with directing traffic near the South Health Campus, allowing the family to arrive within minutes. 🤍 Camila received immediate care & was subsequently transferred to the Alberta Children’s Hospital for further treatment. Const. Chong later received an update from the family, learning that Camila was released from the hospital a few days later with a clean bill of health! Her parents, Verga & Nacbar, invited Const. Chong to their home, where he met a perfectly healthy & happy Camila & gifted her a sentimental teddy bear. The parents expressed immense gratitude towards Const. Chong’s heroic actions & all those involved in ensuring Camila's prompt & safe arrival at the hospital. The family presented Const. Chong with a box of chocolates as a thank you, noting their experience with our officers was remarkable & they will forever remember Const. Chong for his role in saving Camila’s life. We are thankful to see Camila & her family happy & thriving!

@BrandonGilles I said before, and I said again. Deficid will reduce C. Diff bacteria, but it might disbalance(+/-) Candida Albicans etc. C. Diff is gram+ and beneficial if balanced. Medical field has no idea how to balance it correctly, so whoever tells you is possible is lying. Reminder pic:

Been on horrible downward spiral since latest round of Dificid. Crazy film all over mouth and tongue and throat. Gastroparesis again. I think Candida. Starting getting real bad when started looking like this. Treating as if Candida with natural supplements, particularly ADP Oregano held in mouth and “Oregenol” drops 10x per meal. Warning graphic image. Getting better with this, tongue and capabilities again. Second image from today, other from 3 days ago. Today first day hot calories for first time in a while. 3rd image is Candida online. Is it Candida or something else? Recommendations?

This is Briana, Brandon’s wife. It is with a shocked and shattered heart, I have the massively sorrowful news to share that Brandon passed away earlier this week. As many of you know, he had been battling an incredibly difficult illness over the past year. We almost lost him, many times… but he just kept going. This man, my husband, my children’s father, worked harder than anyone I know would have, or could have to try and save his own life. We thought his body had turned a corner, and we thought death was finally off the table. I guess it never really is. Know that when he left this physical world he had been in a place of joy for so many months now. He had worked his body back to such a better spot. He was living life and enjoying it again. He got to remember truly who he was. Not sick Brandon, but just… Brandon. The kids and I got to spend two solid weeks with him last month and it was glorious. We filled the days with all the normal Papa things. Skateboarding, playing backyard soccer with our son, reading books and snuggling with our daughter, bubbles, bike rides, wrestles, holding my hand as we walked the beach. It was the best, and all four of us needed that so desperately. His death came a massive shock and it will take a long time to process that he is actually gone. I and our kids will miss him beyond words. And I know many of you will as well. With love, Briana

A constituent reached out with a very sick baby, desperate for medication. I’ve stopped at 6 pharmacies. Just found one with 3 bottles left. Empty shelves everywhere. I may never know the pain firsthand of having a sick kid, but my heart breaks for families dealing with this.
