@SaturdayinHV Ohio State and Oregon arent coming off a 7-6 season where they fired the head coach and their whole recruiting classes walked. Given the shitstorm Campbell walked into just 4 some months ago, hes done a remarkable job.

Matt Campbell and his staff have built the 2027 class from the ground up and deserve enormous credit for it. The twelve commits they have are genuinely good. But a program with Penn State's resources, history and facilities should not be in a coin flip with Boston College for a three-star quarterback (Will Wood) or fighting Rutgers and UNC for a RB (Aiden Gibson). Ohio State is not in a battle for a QB with Boston College. Oregon is not fighting UNC for any recruit on their board. Michigan is not grinding for the same running backs as Rutgers. Those programs are not in these recruiting battles because they are swinging the bigger stick. Penn State is not those programs right now. Not yet. And that is an honest thing to say after 135 days with no games played. The spring was a good start. The summer needs to build momentum. We Are. 🦁

Sounds like I’m taking a shot at them but I’m not. I do find it extremely impressive how well Notre Dame has recruited the WR position with absolutely zero success developing them into the NFL.
