@WorldWideWob Incredible season to have 50 wins when no one projected them to make the playoffs. Intuit Dome is now the gold standard arena in the NBA and the fanbase/owner continued to prove itself. Bad Game 7 sure, but it really shouldn’t feel bad to be a Clippers fan right now.

@benrgallant Not sure what is crazier - the fact that post exists or that you were able to pull it within 15 minutes… What’s next in the viewing? Little Big League, Little Giants, Big Green, Cool Runnings?

We’re in a serious 90s kid sports movie classic kick right now, and a common theme kept popping up. Did no one have dads in the 90s? Angels in the Outfield - foster children Rookie of the Year - moms crappy boyfriend Sandlot - stepdad who travels all the time.

@benrgallant Camelback for water (if you’re someone that needs it like me to run long distance) instead of trying to grab and drink a cup and if music helps give you some adrenaline, don’t just go shuffle but make a playlist backloaded with some of your faves to help final push. Good luck 🏃

Running my first half marathon on Sunday. Any and all tips welcome. Also if anyone’s done the LA marathon recently, how bad is the traffic situation for spectators at Century City?

@Gmona48 @terance_mann My younger brother was out at a dinner without ability to check his phone. The group text with my brothers that night will never be forgotten.

I think @terance_mann is always going to be a Clipper legend. 🫡 2nd round pick. 39 in a series clinching game to send the franchise to their first Conference Finals. Being in that building that night, it was probably the loudest sports event I’ve been at.

@RobertStock6 I’d swap sub-8hr Ironman for 40-yd dash. That covers the fact you likely have decent speed, but are also top physical athlete to complete an Ironman in that time.

In 100 years… Strangers will be living in our homes. Our cars (and golf clubs) will be cut down to scraps. Nothing you’re worrying about will matter because all of us will be gone. So who cares if you hit the ball OB or miss a 2 foot putt. Who cares what anyone else thinks. No one is better at being you than you. Love yourself. Stop worrying. Start enjoying the ride 🚂.

Exhibit 10,073 of what's wrong with modern ticketing. Primary tickets listed at $120 on Ticketmaster (meaning haven't been sold) also listed on secondary starting at $190...so many ways for consumers to get taken advantage of these days

@Ticket_Help2022 Even worse are the “tickets sold” sitting on resale because they are part of a consolidator deal. They weren’t ever sold.

Yall wanna know why malls are dead in America? Check out this mall in Australia. Malls down under are the town center for their communities. People go not only to shop/dine, but grab groceries, dry cleaning, post office, bank, etc. Also, they look gorgeous.

@HPbasketball Second @LucasJHann on the Ramona piece. PG should go down as one of the best Clippers to-date in franchise history, but there’s a reason there is such a gap between fans who watched every game and aren’t too disappointed and others claiming Clippers now unattractive destination.

@AndrewGreif The day it came to fruition. That’s partially because it was the morning of my wedding day, so at least I’ll always have the exact date remembered and my wife will always remember waking up to me yelling at 5:30am EST because of 213.

Genuinely curious because there doesn’t feel like one, consensus answer. The most memorable moment of the Clippers’ 213 era was _____ (?)

@mcuban I still remember watching an NHL game for the first time in “HD” on HDNet and being in utter awe of how good the picture was at the time.

HDNet was the 1st all High Def network we created in 2001. Everyone thought we were insane.. It was when HDTVs were 20k or more each. I went to all the broadcast networks to try to get them to partner with us. I remember being at Fox HQ and they put up 3, 27" 480P Analog TVs, the kind that weighted 100lbs and told me that this was always going to be good enough for viewers. They didnt think HD in digital would be ready for a long long time. If you ever cared where the first Olympics, Shuttle Lauch, NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB were ever broadcast in HD, it was on our HDNet in the early 2000's It was a battle as an independent network going to cable and satellite distributors to try to get them to carry us. Fortunately a few did and @AXSTV, the successor to HDNet, continues to be one of the few remaining independent networks (I sold it a few years ago, but am proud of what we did and what they are doing now!) Thanks for the kind words @realstevejoe !
Steve Joseph@RealSteveJoe

@RareImagery @mcuban Among Mark’s accomplishments, he single handily drug the broadcast world into the digital realm and HDTV. The broadcasters and networks would not have done it otherwise. He gets very little credit for that.

@LucasJHann L Frank is holding pocket 3s, PG has pocket 2s and the board is 4488Q. And I genuinely don’t know who I’m rooting for to take the pot, but leaning towards best outcome is PG returning - not easy to get an All-NBA level player especially factoring in Clips $$ situation.

@LucasJHann I started watching TV and then Woj/Shams were about 4 minutes ahead of the 1st pick, so I turned off the TV and turned alerts on for Woj/Shams and it was a great draft play-by-play experience. Nothing beats the old days of being surprised by picks/trade announcements on TV.

@Farbod_E Thought he visited the offices after it all broke while they were in SF and Sterling had been banned for life? Not quite at that point yet in the show, but yeah, hopefully they give Doc that credit/show the chaos and struggles for the employees in the office

Three episodes into Clipped and they've done a horrible job at showing how chaotic the offices were after the leaked Sterling tapes. Employees were getting harassed on the phones and crying. Doc Rivers sat down and consoled everyone one by one. Deserves more credit in the show.
