@gold_wallet @KerenKBitto Was hoping someone would say this. There is no observable difference between the god she has painted and no god at all. Its like the "Dragon in my garage" by Carl Sagan.
English

Freewill by definition has no master.
And there is literally no difference between the god you are describing and something that doesn't exist. If it has no influence, no consequence, and produces unjust recompense as outcomes which would be the same with random happen stance, then it is either non existent or its existence is literally irrelevant.
And the tweet your quoting asks a useful question- if a just god exists, why are the people suffering praying more than the ones making them suffer - Is this not fundamentally unjust. The point of prayer is seeking justice - As a lawyer you should know this.
Nigeria is definitive proof that if there ever was a god, he is either fundamentally unjust, untouched by the suffering of his creation, or powerless to do anything about it.
English

Actually Nigeria is proof of Gods existence.
The problem is atheists think God is a fairy godmother with a magic wand who grants good wishes only.
No! God is the master of FREEWILL. He has given mankind the room to make choices. Our problems in Nigeria are all man made. We don’t need prayer or fasting to solve them.
God gave us oil (wealth), guess what we’ve done? We have consecutively allowed the most greedy Nigerians remain in power when we can remove them. God won’t come and do this for us, we have the hands and voices.
God gave us natural occurring resources eg Gold in Zamfara, Iron in so many other states, we decided to let our greedy leaders use insecurity to mine our resources and sell for their wealth. What do you want God to do, when your fellow Nigerians are licking the ass cracks of politicians?
God is not a wish granting genie. He gives you the resources to bake a cake, and he’ll leave you to either bake the cake or watch you make puff puff and keep complaining.
Ebele@ebelee_
I’m so sorry yeah, but Nigeria is all the evidence you need that God doesn’t exist. The people who are suffering pray more than those making them suffer. Explain that to me please

That’s your truth… but it’s a subjective truth…it does not in any way, shape or form show that objectively, the God you’re appealing to is real.
And we know this through the observation of the general human condition on this planet… a lot of nonbelievers have survived just as much as any believer. Believers do not have any marked achievements, protections, or survival advantages that consistently distinguish them from non believers in any measurable, universal sense.
What you’re describing is a powerful personal interpretation of your experiences, not evidence of a supernatural cause. Humans are meaning making creatures….we naturally look for patterns, agency, and purpose, especially after hardship. This is well studied in Cognitive Psychology…we tend to attribute outcomes to intentional forces rather than randomness, particularly when emotions are involved.
Survival itself isn’t proof of divine intervention…it’s a baseline feature of life. People survive war, disease, poverty, accidents, and trauma across every religion and outside of religion entirely. If survival is evidence for God, then it equally validates every god that people across cultures believe in….which leads to an obvious contradiction.
A Christian, a Muslim, and a Hindu can all say “God saved me,” but they’re referring to mutually incompatible ideas of God. A Buddhist would appeal to clarity of thought and mind from deep meditations…. They can’t all be objectively correct.
What’s more, if survival is taken as evidence for God, then what do we do with those who didn’t survive? The same logic would imply divine non-existence. And most importantly show that subjective experience of survival as evidence that a god is real cannot override the equally strong evidence that the god appealed to isn’t real on cases where believers like yourself didn’t survive.
Once you apply the reasoning universally, your point stops being convincing.
A more grounded explanation is that humans survive because of biology, chance, social support systems, medical care, and resilience. And when they come out the other side, they interpret that survival through whatever worldview they already hold. A believer says “God did it,” an atheist says “I endured it,” and someone else might say “luck, circumstance, and help from others.”
Your experience is valid as an experience…but the conclusion you draw from it isn’t logically compelling at all. It’s one interpretation among many possible ones, and it doesn’t rise to the level of objective evidence.

I have survived too much to ever think God isn’t real.

End of this season we need both these directors out
The Vision they been trying to create has to be seen for what it is - Shit!
They’ve shown a consistent pattern of pushing managers to leave due to irreconcilable differences
This creates a cycle of hurting the team, there’s no fucking consistency of ideas over the long term to build upon and improve
It’s compounded now with what we’re seeing with Rosenior
He’s become another scapegoat of the directors creation
This is why we’ve not progressed or developed in 4 years now, what’s developing long term outside of these Ls?
Fuck me it’s simple
SACK both directors, get Egbahli off running the club and restart again by hiring a director with 1 singular idea

@Footballtweet Luca Toni was lowkey fraudulent but thats a story for another day
English

❤️📺 A beautiful moment on Italian television after the Bayern Munich-Atalanta match.
The great Luca Toni told the journalist interviewing Harry Kane that he wants to send him a message:
🗣️🇮🇹 "Please tell Harry that I'm in love with him in a football way. Because he's one of the few pure 9s left in the world, among all those false nines floating around. And he's the best in the world in his position."
🗣️🏴 Harry Kane smiled and responded: "It's an honour what you're saying to me, and even more so coming from a top striker like you. Thank you."
Long live the pure 9s, like Harry and Luca. 😮💨

Met someone like this recently and it left me genuinely unsettled. Her parents are Muslims but her grandma was a Christian who raised her mom as one. Her mom later converted to Islam.
She doesn’t firmly identify with either religion right now cos her mom told her to wait and see who she marries and basically align with him. She is perfectly willing to marry either a Christian or a Muslim.
The first thing that crossed my mind was, you genuinely do not understand what either religion is actually claiming. Cos if you did, how could you delegate the destiny of your own soul to a marriage prospect?
This is also why I no longer do the kumbaya “we all worship the same God” performance. I have Muslim friends and colleagues. I can sit with you, eat with you, genuinely enjoy your company, and still tell you plainly that I do not believe in the substance of what you are doing, that I think it is completely baseless and remarkably flawed.
I have always maintained that friendship and sharp disagreement are not mutually exclusive. Sports, religion, I will tell you directly. The exceptions for me are human rights and politics. Not this.
Christianity makes a claim that cannot be softened, Jesus is God. Not a prophet. Not a moral teacher. God. And He is the only path to salvation and eternal life. If that claim is true, Islam is not an alternative road to the same destination. It is a fabrication from the pit of hell.
Paul did not mince words; “even if an angel brings another gospel, let them be accursed.” Under Christianity, Islam is accursed. The being that appeared to Mohammed was not Gabriel. It was a demon, which is precisely what Mohammed himself believed in that cave before Khadijah talked him out of it.
You cannot sit with that honestly and remain passive. It is not an option.
Floating between the two is a serious sign of existential unseriousness. I will respect the committed Muslim far more than the one swimming with the tides, cos at least the committed Muslim has grasped that the stakes are real.
And tbh there is a weight to this. Accepting Jesus as Lord can mean confronting what that implies about your late Muslim grandmother or cousin, or best friend. That is not a small thing. But that weight is not an excuse to commit to nothing. You never find peace with that. You just find a softer way to dodge the question. Lukewarm is not neutral, far from it. It is a answer in and of itself. And frankly imo it is the worst one.

@CFC_Dubois Lets not kid ourselves. Maresca did a job on them in the final. The result had no bearing on where either teams were. If we play 10 games they will win 9 times.

If you try am for Nigeria them go say the owners Dey use them for juju 😂😂
