Indian embassy has expressed helplessness with Georgian authorities. Case summary here: 1. The lady in question was carrying Pregabalin a medicine for her back strain. It’s a known muscle relaxant, anti-anxiety and pain killer. 2. ⁠This medicine is not banned in Georgia. It’s only under a “Special Supervision” list which basically means she has to have a prescription backing it. Which she had! 3. ⁠There was no immigration form at Tbilisi asking for declaration of anything 4. ⁠There was no Red or Green channel at Tbilisi airport. She boarded from origin airport of Dubai and was cleared by Dubai immigration. 5. ⁠The max qty allowed to carry of this drug in Georgia is 31 days of medication. She had 9 tablets of a strip of 10 6. ⁠She not only had prescription but she arranged it to be translated in Georgian, got it notarized, arranged license of the Dr prescribing it, a separate certificate of health from Dr detailing why she needs it, etc 7. ⁠Her passport has been confiscated and no acknowledgment receipt given. So there’s no record that they’ve even taken her passport! 8. ⁠For 14 days they’ve blanked out all info. Zero. Zilch. At the onset would like to thank @narendramodi ji and @adgpi for protecting the country in these tumultuous times. However the ceasefire declared by a western nation came as a surprise and a HUGE letdown. India & Indian politicians have not learnt their lessons from history. I am at a loss to understand why did the Indian leadership have to kowtow before western nations? This was a huge opportunity for Modi ji to emerge as the biggest Indian leader of all times and it was thrown away! This despite the complete backing from all sections of the Indian society for all actions. And the Indian leadership made a fool of themselves by believing that the enemy would play fair! They never have, they never will. That’s their history. War is not a solution but then tolerance should have a defined threshold. I hope there is an explanation for what was done and why. New friendships cannot be carved by submissions & selling of our self-respect. Especially when it common knowledge that these new so called friends have a history of destroying economies and countries they have shaken hands with.
