🚨Breaking update from our race to criticality:
A barn swallow recently snuck into our reactor building.
These are a protected species of migratory bird, and if she lays eggs, we’d be on the babies’ schedule until hatched.
That could have meant a delayed criticality…
FORTUNATELY we were able to shoo her away and we've installed scary (& patriotic) dummy birds and high frequency speakers to prevent this from happening again.
Onwards to July 4th! 🇺🇸
