@knbrmurph Who on the Brewers coaching staff helped turn Harrison into the pitcher the Giants thought they had, but couldn’t develop?
English

@SarahIronside6 @ProgressiveSeal Dude will be voting with the GOP within the 1st year of being in office, if he wins.
English

@ProgressiveSeal Do you understand that Senators are responsible for federal laws which directly impact me whether I live in Maine or not?
English

@mmpadellan Doesn’t seem to matter.
When push comes to shove, those folks are still going to vote for him. Because they don’t like how he’s handling some things doesn’t mean they’re going to abandon him. Dems need to remember that.
English

@GuntherEagleman Eventually your analysis may be correct.
But not today.

America just reminded Iran who’s in charge.
CENTCOM confirmed U.S. forces hammered multiple Iranian targets over the weekend, taking out radar systems and drone command centers after they shot down a $4M American drone.
President Trump made it clear: Iran wants a deal, and it’s going to be a good one for the USA. No pallets of cash this time.
No weak Obama-style surrender. Trump’s demanding full concessions on their nuclear program, including blocking any black market cheats.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah’s still launching rockets into Israel while their Iranian masters bleed. Netanyahu’s pushing back hard in Lebanon.
This is what strength looks like. No more funding terror. No more empty threats.
Trump’s not rushing a bad deal for midterms or optics. America First means deals that actually protect us.
Secure peace through strength.

Matt Chapman on Giants fans making threats against him and his family:
“Yeah, it’s bad. I got off social media, stopped looking at it — but it still seems like only the negative stuff finds you, right? You should see my DMs. It’s people saying, 'I hope your family dies'. People threaten us all the time, I just block it and whatever, I don’t make a big deal about it, but it’s just not cool. I would never do that to anybody.
People can say what they want, it’s a free country, but they don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. They think we’re not playing well, we must show up an hour before the game and don’t prepare, but we’re here, we’re working hard, we want to win, we feel responsibility to win.
All I want to do is win and I know how bad our fans want to win. I want to do it for them and us, for all the right reasons, but this is the day and age where people feel like they get a voice to just spew negative stuff. I don’t think that people would say that to people’s faces — I’m not saying that in a confrontational way, but it takes the human element out of things. It’s not going to ruin my day, but it doesn’t make me feel good.
I think the thing that probably bummed me out the most is when people are calling for me to get pushed out of San Francisco. Over the last two seasons, I feel like I’ve been one of the best third basemen in the game — if I didn’t get hurt last year, I feel like I was right on my way to repeating the year I had in 2024 and having a great season. It doesn’t feel good when you feel like people are so quick to turn your back on you.”

@TopEnz The fact that you know who to make a torch is troublesome. I would have gone to Home Depot…
English

If they go to two hitters parks (Milwaukee & Wrigley) and Bryce Eldridge isn’t getting the overwhelmingly majority of starts, there’s gonna be pitchforks and torches when they get back to 3rd & King…

When asked whether Democratic Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner passes the “character test,” after CBS confirmed reporting that Platner's wife told his campaign about sexually explicit texts he sent to other women, Sen Chris Murphy (D-CT) says Platner has lived a life of service to the U.S., but “also made mistakes and he has admitted that.”
“I think this is going to be a pretty clear contrast in Maine between somebody who has spent his life protecting us versus somebody who seems to be protecting Donald Trump's corruption,” he says.

@GarlicFryRy The G’s need to look around at other teams and figure out how they’re developing young players in the minors into solid MLB players.
This goes for pitchers and position players.

I’m excited for Jonah and he has great AA numbers but I thought a big reason fans and media got mad at Farhan was for rushing prospects up and ruining their service time like how we lost Wade Meckler and now he’s producing on the Angels. But it’s okay now cause Posey is doing it?

BREAKING: The Giants have called up Jonah Cox from AA Richmond. He will join the big league club today. An unprecedented move.

@IceNineVeryNice @BugniThere42068 @emkenobi There’s the question that should have been the 1st on the list!
English

@BugniThere42068 @emkenobi So just to confirm: you personally support this bill that legalizes the murder of women?
English

Republicans in North Carolina just proposed a bill that says if a woman is caught with an IUD or attempts to get an abortion then men are allowed to use DEADLY FORCE to try and stop her. They are proposing a bill that will allow men to kill women for using birth control. It’s House Bill 1232. Keith Kidwell is the Republican who proposed the bill. He claims it counts as self defense to use deadly force to stop abortion. This is a man who claims to be pro life. Feel free to give his office a call and let him know how you feel about his opinion.
And for anyone who says “obviously this will never get passed” that’s not the point. The point is it’s fucking insanity that a government official would even try to make a law like this. It’s insanity that there are men out there who are trying to make it legal to kill women for making decisions for their own bodies. This is real and it’s happening right now in front of our eyes.

The New York Knicks have not had better championship odds than they do at this very moment since June 18th, 1994.

@DarrellCBassist No problem with musicians using their platform to express political opinions.
I draw the line at Congress calling them to testify as experts on politics.
English

🎤🎸 Should musicians speak out about politics?
Artists like Bruce Springsteen, Tom Morello, and The Dixie Chicks have never been afraid to share their views, even when it cost them fans, radio airplay, or public backlash.
Some believe musicians have a platform and a responsibility to speak out on issues they care about.
Others say fans come for the music, not political opinions.
