EXCLUSIVE: Inside the extensive far-left network now under investigation by multiple federal agencies—a network with close ties to an activist group that traveled to Cuba this weekend to support its flailing communist regime. A monthslong Fox News Digital investigation exposes the network of an estimated 2,000 organizations worth up to $591M, funded in large part by tech tycoon Neville Roy Singham, husband of CodePink co-founder Jodie Evans. The Goal? Push anti-U.S., pro-China propaganda and support autocratic regimes — targeting young college students to parrot the anti-American narrative. 🔥 Bad Kitty series on Chinese contributions to United States disinfo work, Part 1! China contributed more than you realize. In response to the 2016 election, Indiana University Observatory On Social Media built the Tool called Hoaxy. This was used to track Twitter disinformation and was created by a team that included two Chinese individuals that got Chinese funding. This also once had access to the Twitter API (not anymore). This paper includes analysis of the 2016 election. And obviously it concentrated strictly on conservatives. Paper authors include: - Chengcheng Shao, College of Computer, National University of Defense Technology, China - Xinwen Jiang, The MOE Key Laboratory of Intelligent Computing and Information Processing, Xiangtan University, China With those 2 individuals supported by: - Chengcheng Shao, China Scholarship Council - Xinwen Jiang, supported in part by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) - Grant No. 61272010 This NSFC grant (61272010) sponsored another paper which included the two individuals above for the National University of Defense Technology, Changsha 410073, Hunan, China. The paper involved identifying all Internet users with a national network identity to counteract disinfo. I’m certain there are more examples, but you get the idea. This shows that the paper writers wrote hoaxy (see photo 1): “How to reduce the overall amount of misinformation? To explore these questions WE BUILT HOAXY, an open platform that enables large-scale, systematic studies of how misinformation and fact-checking spread and compete on Twitter.” The Indiana University, Social Media Observatory itself is currently funded by the Knight Foundation. The Knight Fndn is one of the earliest funders and initiators of disinfo work including misinfocon which created the credibility coalition. Knight is partnered with Google. Indiana Social Media Observatory is also adamantly anti Elon Musk. And was also the creator of Botometer. Sources to follow and see you for part two!
