I voted against moving Senator Mullin’s nomination for DHS Secretary forward because there’s a rot deep to the core of this administration. The failures of DHS run far deeper than who holds the title of secretary. Americans deserve accountability for the lives that have been taken in our streets and the lawlessness we continue to see from ICE and CBP.

ICE agents shouldn’t be allowed to terrorize our communities in NJ and then take jobs policing our neighborhoods or teaching our children. I joined @katiebrennan_32 in introducing legislation that would prohibit certain federal law enforcement agents from state jobs. It’s critical we make sure our state employees reflect our community’s values.
