My wife and I are moving to London 🇬🇧 in a few weeks. We had everything scattered across Notion databases, Google Calendar, random notes, apartment links... so I built a custom dashboard to bring it all together. What it does: → Tasks organized by category (visa, banking, housing, pet transport, etc.) → Apartment tracker with pros/cons, scores, and pins on a map → Recommendations for restaurants, gyms, neighborhoods we want to try (with filters on distance from our AirBNB and my work office) → Calendar events synced from Google → Email reminders so nothing slips through the cracks The part I'm most pumped about: two-way Notion sync. We've been using Notion to plan this move for months. I didn't want to abandon that. The dashboard pulls from our Notion databases, but also pushes changes back. >Edit a task in Notion → it updates in the app. >Mark something complete in the app → it syncs to Notion. We use whichever one feels right in the moment. I'm not a developer by trade. Built this in about a week using Claude Code - basically pair programming with AI. It wrote most of the code while I described what I wanted and made decisions along the way. Stack for the curious: Next.js, TypeScript, Prisma, Neon Postgres, Notion API, Mapbox, deployed on Vercel so we can open it on our phones, wifi, etc. Honestly, one of the the coolest and most useful things I've ever built. We use it all the time now!

So I wondering why my new LG TV was so insanely dark? It's because the EU mandates TV's to lock the brightness to 30-50% of their potential for sustainability reasons aka 🍃 Eco Mode I literally could NOT change the brightness until I dug deep into advanced settings to disable 🍃 Eco Mode It's all so fucking dumb 🤦
