OpenAI has completely lost Gen Z. My wife (who's 30) got a called a Boomer by her cousin (who is 20) because she hasn't switched to Claude yet. OpenAI is now seen as the uncool option for people not "in the know" That's a hard brand image to shake

SOMEONE ACTUALLY MEASURED HOW MUCH DUMBER CLAUDE GOT. THE ANSWER IS 67%. the data shows Opus 4.6 is thinking 67% less than it used to. anthropic said nothing until the numbers went public. then suddenly Boris Cherny (creator of Claude Code) shows up on the GitHub issue. users are calling it "AI shrinkflation" (same price, less intelligence) we already know from the leaked source code that they have an internal switch that keeps the models working to their full extent for anthropic employees. in the last week Claude went from WOW to being a more restricted and expensive version of ChatGPT. people are saying Anthropic is deliberately downgrading Opus to save compute for training Mythos, their next model.

Average wage is £39,000 so it’s effectively slightly below average for 2 full time workers. Let’s not talk in generalities, how are they better off exactly? £71,000 and you don’t have to work seems significantly “better off” I’m sure most of the working public would agree. You need mild depression to get PIP, don’t talk shit. Tell the people working full time and earning £71,000 that you’re taking their money, even though “it’s not a lot” to pay for the people next door to sit at home all day. Behave.

From today, the two child limit is lifted. That means 450,000 children will no longer grow up in poverty.

@thsottiaux Didn’t even know Codex had limits…

Our Codex dashboards are showing increased rate of users hitting rate limits and since we don't fully understand why I have made the cautious decision of resetting the usage limits for all plans. Enjoy. I also wanted to celebrate us finding a pocket of fraudulent accounts that we banned and have helped us regain some compute. The fight against abuse never stops, but it's important to mark the moment and make it a little shared victory.
