Giants WR Sterling Shepard is officially a free agent, as his re-worked contract from a year ago that included his pay cut, had his deal voided out 3 days after the Super Bowl, which is now today.
Shepard has been recovering from an ACL tear suffered in Week 3 vs the Cowboys. Shepard had 13 catches for 154 yards and 1 TD for the Giants in 2022.
Shepard has been with the Giants since the 2016 season.
@_860Jaden@JimNagy_SB Not sure if you heard but Bateman has been out since week 4, duvernay is out for the year and mark andrews is banged up. Slightly better receiving core when healthy but LJ does WAY more than DJ (no disrespect to DJ who has been solid)
It seems like this is a recurring theme… the Giants defense is on the field for like 6+ minutes and then the offense has a drive that lasts less than a minute.
It's pathetic.
@art_stapleton It's not been a good start for Daniel Jones. To be honest, I'm getting sick of seeing him at QB. He can't even throw a simple pass to a receiver. Meanwhile, Hurts tossing the ball around like it's nothing.
The Giants have asked everything of Darius Slayton in 2022 and he’s done his best, and we know he goes out and gives it his all.
But at the same time. If you’re an NFL receiver and you can get your hands on the ball like this, you have to catch it.
