I bet that Redownloads has a decent weight for the App Store algo when it is comparing your app to other apps under the same keyword.

@bavedikian FYI, they can fax directly to a “free fax” app and will even guide you on how to use it to get a fax from the IRS digitally instantly (if you get a knowledgeable rep). I know because I did this with the IRS two months ago.

I was on the phone with the IRS today. I need a document from them. They asked me for my fax number. Told them I’ve never used a fax machine. They said they have to send the document in the mail and I’d receive it in 15-20 business days. People on X have wildly unrealistic expectations about AI adoption. The largest employer in America (the federal government) still can’t email documents to paying customers like me. And in 2040, they’ll still be asking people for their fax number.

ASC just moved Analytics into the App tab. It makes sense, but now the "all apps" overview is gone, right?

Looks like Apple is dropping the Trends page in a few months.. And they've also removed Last 24 hours filter option. 😭

Not excited about my upcoming flight out of MSY...
Matt Van Swol@mattvanswol

🚨#BREAKING: Wild video footage has emerged of a New Orleans police screaming at travelers who were fighting while waiting in a 3-hour TSA line at MSY International Airport. "If you don't make this line, you will NOT catch your flight. Just stop! We all going to the same location. We don't have time for this!"

@anulagarwal The biggest problem I have with Google Play Console and support is that they have NO developer support phone number to call, unlike Apple. It's such a blackhole. We're always afraid of uploading updates to our Android apps due to rocking the boat with them. It's ridiculous.

@Senninsage "lightyears better than either Linux or MacOS" - Not true in the slightest. Sounds like it's spoken by someone who rarely, if ever, has used macOS (lowercase m, by the way). Come on now.

People already use Windows far more than macOS and Linux, and they do so by choice. Windows can improve, but it's lightyears better than either Linux or MacOS.
Zac Bowden@zacbowden

BREAKING: Microsoft just announced several major changes to Windows 11 in an effort to win back user trust and evolve the platform into something people will actually want to use over macOS and Linux! It's a huge announcement that addresses Windows 11's biggest problems today, tackling core fundamental issues such as unreliable system performance, UX consistency, AI bloat and general enshittification. Microsoft has confirmed that this year, it WILL be reducing where ads and Copilot appear throughout the system, including in Start, Widgets, Notepad, Photos, and more! File Explorer and Windows Search will be upgraded with improved performance and capabilities that make finding apps and files much faster and easier. The OS will become lighter with less RAM and system utilization at idle, making it smoother to run on low end hardware with limited memory. These improvements will also benefit high-end PCs too. Windows Update will be improved with more granular controls and the ability to postpone updates for longer, along with reducing how often the OS needs to restart to install an update. Microsoft has also confirmed that it's bringing back fan favourite features such as the ability to move the Taskbar! It's also working to update more areas of the system shell with modern WinUI designs, which should make Windows 11 feel more coherent and complete. There's much more in the announcement, and it honestly all sounds too good to be true. Microsoft really is listening to feedback, and is eager to make Windows the BEST desktop OS on the market. More details including when these changes will arrive in the link! windowscentral.com/microsoft/wind…

@Jawmuncher Just so you know (I’m not sure if anyone else mentioned this) but aspect ratios are artistic choices by the director and cinematographer. That’s why there are so many different sizes.

@chutneylife The accidents numbers tell a different story. Tesla FSD has less accidents than human drivers. That’s enough for me to say “deploy everywhere”. It will save lives. Period.

@heywildrich I literally did this at Blockbuster Video for my first job at 17 years old in the mid-90’s for $5.35/hr. It’s not fun.

@DonnyWals I blame Apple, not this guy. People are ALWAYS going to find easy ways to make money doing nearly nothing. It’s up to the marketplace managers (aka Apple) to make sure their high-end mall doesn’t turn into a strip mall where buyers start to lose trust.

Honestly can’t believe this is being celebrated or called smart. Some guy spammed 65 vibe coded “apps” onto the store, is charging money for them, makes a few dollars on each, and it’s called smart? It’s spamming the App Store with low-effort abandonware. I’m somewhat surprised this made it through review. And I think it undermines the supposed quality gate that app review is supposed to be
Jacob Rodri@jacobrodri_

this guy built 65 "boring" apps none of them went viral... but together they make $50,000/year here’s how he did it:
