@TSAdedara When Messi sent that through ball to Alvarez or so on the 95th minute... I doubt he thinks he will be the one scoring it.. But when Alvarez messed up with the strike, he was there for the cleanup.
Aside that, you speak too confidently about knowing people's intentions.
English

Congratulations to Lionel Messi on an amazing feat but please spare us all these BS humility I don’t care rhetoric. You surely care about these records and you’d die having them. This idea that somehow Messi is humble and doesn’t care about records is just not true. Man is the Argentina’s Center forward—9 just like he was in 2011/2012 season at Barca where he scored 80% of his goals inside the box.
We are tired of this fake humble don’t care BS. Congratulations though.
Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano
🚨🇦🇷 Lionel Messi when asked how many World Cup goals he can reach: “I am tired now, I’m not thinking about that. I just want to enjoy the win with my teammates”.

I'm confused. 🤔🤔
Isn't this the same Ronaldo who publicly said the World Cup is just a seven-game tournament and not his biggest dream?
If your captain has already told the world that this competition isn't the ultimate goal of his career, why should the entire team be expected to sacrifice their own game just to make him the hero?
Maybe instead of blaming Bruno, Vitinha, João Neves, Rafael Leão, and João Félix, we should ask why Portugal's captain isn't carrying more of the responsibility himself.
Football is a team sport, not a personal tribute act.
English

@bunmola2010 @oil_shaeikh You think this one cares about a kidnapped pregnant woman and her daughter.... Keep explaining
English

@oil_shaeikh Watch the actual video he never threatened to wipe off Fulani he was only referring to the terrorist they kidnapped a woman and child in his town, they demanded a ransom&when the ransom was paid killed the individual that took the ransom to them&didn’t release victims
English

An ordinary citizen, convicted for being a criminal by both Nigerian and Be In govt is threatening to wipe off Fulanis like he did some years ago and everywhere is quiet!
Who the fuck does this maniac Igboho think he is to threatening to wipe out Nigerians in front of the @LagosPoliceNG DPO and he has not been arrested!
Let anything happen to the Fulanis in Igboho first !
Oyo Affairs@Oyoaffairs
Sunday Igboho has given Fulani residents in Igboho Oke-Ogun, a two-hour ultimatum to produce abducted family members or face consequences, as he threatened to wipe off all Fulani people living in the community.
English

@Batman_Protocol @GlenBarche Lol... He didn't earn most of the penalties he scored..
English

@GlenBarche Ronaldo drew the foul so it's a bit rude to ask if he can score the goal when it was Ronaldo's work that earned the penalty. I would understand if Alonso drew the foul but he did not. I back Ronaldo here. He probably was like "I earned that penalty" which is true.
English

Xabi Alonso begged Ronaldo to kick a penalty allowed him to score his first Real Madrid goal. Even though they were already leading 5-2
Ronaldo did not join in his celebration after he scored, he's always selfish.
Glen@GlenBarche
Who has that one Ronaldo video?
English

@ClassicChikwere @Omojuwa Can we check the Fifa ranking of Algeria and DRC... Or do you dislike facts?
English

@Omojuwa Just because of one match played by each of them in this ongoing World Cup? Messi played against a useless Algeria team that Nigeria beat, Ronaldo played against DR Congo that denied 9ja from going to WC. You have a poor taste in everything - sports & politics
English

Maturity is admitting that Cristiano Ronaldo is an all-time great and nothing that happens at this World Cup can diminish his legacy.
It is also admitting that Messi is better than him. Credit to those who took so long to get there, better late than ever. I wonder what you were watching all these years. Dey waste stubbornness for wetin was never going to change.

English

@FabianFerrante @appiecule Messi is greater than Maradona... Far greater. Even the drugged up Maradona doesn't come near... There's Stat, Math, Science and reality to prove this.
English

What fascinates me more than the hat-trick is one question I’d love to ask Messi: How did you make them love you this much? Messi has reached a level with his teammates that even Maradona never truly achieved throughout his career.
The man in front of you is the same player who, after Argentina reached the 2014 World Cup final, had Mascherano walk up to him and say: “I’m tired of seeing you suffer. Today, we’re playing only for your happiness.” When the media criticized Messi, Agüero said they used to ask themselves just one question: “How can we get the ball to him in the best possible position to prove he’s the best?”
Then came Copa América 2021, when Di María said: “I was ready to break my leg if it meant Messi could win an international trophy.” Less than a year later, the level of devotion had somehow gone even higher. De Paul said: “I could go to war for him without even knowing the reason.” Emiliano Martínez went even further: “I’d be willing to die for Messi on the pitch.”
Now we’ve reached 2026. Do you think anything has changed? If anything, it’s become even stronger. Álvarez and Lautaro received chances they could have finished themselves, yet they waited for Messi and squared the ball to him so he could complete his hat-trick.
This Argentina team moves as one, beats as one, and rallies behind one name:
Messi. 🐐🇦🇷

English

Na God say make Messi no dey talk like Mohammed Ali. lol. There’d have been no debate about anything. After the Algeria game:
I am the greatest. Cristiano is not the greatest. Ogunmepon can’t score no World Cup hatty at almost 40. He doesn’t have a World Cup.
Mbappe is okay. But I won 5 ballon d’ors at his current age. I will give him the other 3 and he still won’t have as many ballon d’ors as me by the time he is 40.
I am the greatest. No one has ever been this good for this long. I have seen Ronaldo, the real Ronaldo, do it. He was on fire. Two world
Cups, you can’t be more Ronaldo than that.
Maradona is a legend, killed it in Napoli too. Pele touched 3 World Cups, you can’t sneer at that. They call us the trinity, I may be the youngest, but I am their father.
Cristiano had a spark when he started, he is all about the tap ins now. He couldn’t even start at the World Cup four years ago. Wasn’t it Morocco that…never mind. Qatar wasn’t my crowning glory, it was a gift for the fans, haters and lovers alike.
I am the greatest. The one who won what each of them won at least once, and then won a lot more. None of them can say that.
I am top of goals. I am top of assists. I get compared with the best of them scorers. I get compared with the best of the midfielders. I am the standard of football excellence. The unit of measurement.
I am one of one. When I am done, there will be none like me. I am the greatest. You know this, your mama knows this. I am Jordan and LeBron in one. Serena and the big 3 rolled into a body. No Tom and Jerry, but Brady and Rice.
I am the greatest. I never said that before I knew I was. But you and I know it now, I am the greatest. The truth and the Messi!

English

@niikq1 @Wizarab10 Red card and a ban... No, I think it should be death by electrocution... Lol
English

@Wizarab10 This is a red and a ban. Damgerous play and he did with intent to cause harm. But you know the game is massaged somewhat so he can snap a neck on the field in the centre circle and he will get a penalty
English

There is nothing to discuss. In every situation and for all intents and purposes, this is a RED CARD.
The ANF Club ⚽️@adjorNfriends
On our space, there’s a discussion about whether Messi should’ve been sent off here. Do you agree?
English

@LightCavalryCZ @cristiancrespoj You don't like coordination and alignments? Just imagine those hundreds of people doing whatever they want... It won't be art, it will be chaos
English

A esto nos referimos, cuando decimos que a México le faltó majestuosidad en la ceremonia de inicio de un Mundial de Fútbol. No hubo arte, no hubo tecnología, no hubo personas, no hubo ganas. Esto demuestra la desidia del gobierno de Sheinbaum. Eso es, mediocre. Una ceremonia mediocre para un gobierno aún más mediocre. Ah! Y Claudia además no asistió. Todo mal.
Video: Olimpiadas Beijing 2008. Que comenzó el 08/08/2008 a las 08:08 PM. (El 8 es número de suerte en China). Cargando aún más de espiritualidad dicha ceremonia.

@abazwhyllzz This video is not true... They made it seem like the people around the president cared. Nobody cares.
English

@askghmedia The funny thing is they're not trying to own the businesses and shops, they just want to loot it. They think they have become richer when they loot a spaza shop. What happens when you finish your stolen candy?
English

“Businesses owned by foreigners must be handed over to South Africans. Anyone who supports them should leave the country with them. This time, we South Africans have only two options, fight or perish.”
— A South African man identified as one of the leaders of the anti-immigrant campaign says businesses owned by foreigners should be taken over by South Africans, adding that leaders who support foreigners should leave the country with them
English

"You're f****** crazy. You'd be in prison if it weren't for me. I'm saving your a***. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this."
That's what a U.S. official tells Axios President Trump unloaded on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a heated phone call over Israel's military actions in Lebanon.
Trump was reportedly furious that Israel's moves risked blowing up U.S. diplomatic efforts in the region, at one point also asking Netanyahu: "What the f*** are you doing?"

English

@bopalmer30 @Rebecca98869736 @QuantumGuard17 I guess it allows you to blow up 200 school girls in an elementary school.
English

@Rebecca98869736 @QuantumGuard17 War doesn’t allow you to commit terrorist acts against merchant vessels…. Imagine if Russia started blowing up Merchant Ships with drones? Sorry….bad take
English

🚨 BREAKING: Secretary Rubio says the United Nations might prove itself to be TOTALLY USELESS if they refuse to condemn Iran blowing up vessels in the Strait of Hormuz
Leave the UN!
"What is the purpose of the UN?! The UN was supposed to be a place where you could peacefully resolve global conflict."
"Right now you have a country who is unlawfully, criminally, and illegally taking possession of an international waterway and blowing up commercial vessels and putting mines in the water."
"If you're telling me that the international community and hundreds of countries cannot rally behind that, then I don't know what the utility of the UN system is!"
"If it can't even solve something as straightforward as THAT."
English

@AFRICANDEMOC I'd initially thought they will take over the businesses.. But look at them, they are looting it. What happens when they finish up their loot?
English

@patriot_zee @siphodube @AfricaFirsts Just lay it bare and pronounce it with your full chest like "Trevor Noah is not South African". You see the the thing about hatred and bigotry is you don't know where to draw the line and it also suspends your sense of reasoning.
English

@siphodube @AfricaFirsts In South African culture, identity is traditionally strictly patrilineal, meaning a child inherits their primary identity, clan name (isiduko), and ancestral lineage from their father. I understand in other Afrixan countries its matrilineal. So please respect our culture.
