@imdbmb hes saying on a second watch they're superficial, which is really not true at all... he doesn't get the films, there is so much more to his films on repeat watches.

Christopher Nolan has mastered the art of making his films appear to be deep at first glance, but on the second watch revealing just how superficial and pretentious they really are. Has anyone actually been able to enjoy a movie of his on the second viewing?

So many signs point to Tom Cruise winning his first acting Oscar this year but it’s still wrong Cruise didn’t win Best Actor for Jerry Maguire. Cruise has at least 3 moments-this included- where he gives everything to the screen. @CameronCrowe directed the hell out of this movie.

Wow, now I’m seeing tweets attacking Christopher Nolan for not using the internet. Or saying that he’s lying. Or saying that because he probably has assistants who use the internet, he’s a hypocrite. Nolan derangement syndrome is real and here to stay. 🤦

@jaegermedia1 I think more and more people are realizing this. There are varying degrees of watchability obv. Following holds up, Dark Knight Rises 1x, prestige 3x, Inception 4x etc.

What I miss most about old movies is extras. People on the streets, in the background, all around. So many films now feel like the characters exist in an almost empty world. Like this scene in Body Heat— I couldn’t think of the last film I saw that felt so casually alive.
