@StellenboschUni @MRCza @SuMBHG @SUImmunology @SUhealthsci TB remains a major global health challenge. To eradicate it, we need better therapies, more advanced diagnostic tools, vaccines and strong health care system. We also need greater investments towards a holistic approach towards TB, that also includes social support for patients.

C-type lectin receptors are amazing! We have just discovered that MICL recognises NETs and regulates the fine balance between protection from infection and exacerbated autoimmunity. This study was only possible with an amazing team of collaborators.
