@StoolGreenie “Plenty of numbers” pretty sure this guy is just nerd surfing the box scores and advanced metrics and not watching any games

@HouseofFlagons @AndrewDBailey Feels like lots of projection and/or identity issues going on here. SGA may win for a second year in a row and I assure you it ain’t for his defense my brother.

@AndrewDBailey It is part of black American media pundits reclaiming their league from the slow, white interlopers from Europe. Now defense is the most critical piece of the MVP criteria (because whitey doesn’t have the quickness to play it well).

@AIScreenplays @AndrewDBailey How quickly we become accustomed to wonder. Jokic is averaging a damn triple double again, shooting 57/38/83%. He is the MVP again, and also should’ve won MVP last year. Idc about voter fatigue he’s the best player, every year.

@AndrewDBailey I think it's East Coast bias + the totally unexpected awesome season from the Celtics + Jaylen Brown LOOKS like how an MVP is supposed to look. It's obviously SGA or Wemby

I’m late on this but @VanLathan saying there are no significant lightsaber fights in animation is blasphemy. Ahsoka vs Maul during the Siege of Mandalore is one of the best in all the canon, and Ahsoka vs Vader in Rebels S2 one of the most significant to the lore

Am I tripping or has Jaylen not looked as relaxed offensively since Tatum came back last game ?

@rannlou @ygeasymoney Love the "Tatum isn't clutch" narrative. Guy only averages 26.7 with 9.3 boards and 5.1 assists in 7 game 7s, including a 51 point game 7 vs. Philly. He averages 24/8/5 in the playoffs for his career.

@ygeasymoney For everyone defending Tatum, you do know he was generally garbage his two finals run and won one in spite of shooting 39 percent on the field and 26 from three.

@ygeasymoney Carmelo was a free agent. He could've left the Knicks. He also never attracted great teammates who wanted to come play with him. He wasn't a winning player, no matter how many ways you wanna spin it. Just cause you can get buckets doesn't make you a winning player.

@jus7110 @calvingonba It’s still the same argument. If he doesn’t make the finals all those years, You’d sit there and say “the east was weak, why didn’t he make the finals more?”

@calvingonba Context, Bron played in a historically weak east, you can’t give him extra credit for making all those finals and then ignore his losing record in them

People genuinely believe LeBrons got argument would he stronger if he was 4-0 in the finals instead of 4-6 and it’s wild. Idk how 6 additional first round losses is better than 6 finals losses. Logically makes zero sense.
ᵂᴵᴸᴸ@BiasedHouston

Like let’s acknowledge that an argument against LeBron James’ GOAT case is that he was so good at the sport that his season, win or loss, would end in the Finals every year. And somehow that is worse than being sent home in the first round.

@calvingonba Literally what I say every time over the years people said Montana was better than Brady bc he’d never lost a Super Bowl. I said how the fuck is losing in the earlier rounds somehow more noble than losing in the fucking Super Bowl? Preposterous

@royceyoung @hardwoodjunkies Dude the leg kick outs are absolutely dirty and intentional. Watch anyone hoop anywhere and that’s not a naturally part of anybody’s shot. You shoot, you jump up and down. Nobody naturally has one leg that kicks out at the end of their jumper, cmon

@hardwoodjunkies I love this highlight reel. Especially when one of the clips is simply Dort jumping for a rebound and PG landing awkwardly. Pick any player and watch them for a season and you can create a reel of the same stuff. Bumps, inadvertent contact, selling calls, all of it.

Look, Dort's trip last night wasn't good. Bad play in an intense game. But this idea Dort is some long-standing, well-known dirty player is a myth. Career flagrant fouls/technical fouls: Draymond Green: 21/124 Rudy Gobert: 20/66 Dillon Brooks: 13/101 Lu Dort: 6/9

@PranavSriraman @WoodromeJacob Observation says if Luka took every second he would’ve spent complaining, and instead used it to run back and actually try on defense, that people might actually respect him more. We gotta stop rewarding offense only players who don’t try during half of their job.

@WoodromeJacob There’s zero justification. None. We have access to too much data and information, along with our own critical thinking and qualitative observations.

@bballbreakdown the correct answer is also the player who was closest, how do people not see it? smart rotates up and (in theory) there are three guys on the other half of the court to close out on his guy if it swings again (though 2 of them are on the floor)

@navitistrong @rBillSimmonsPod I think it’s more that BS doesn’t want a true peer sitting side by side him on any of these shows. He’s not comfortable going back and forth with a Nick Wright or a Max Kellerman. So almost all the talent is B list at best with most falling in the C range in terms of gravitas.
