@TosinOlugbenga @bolazeal I think a lot of Nigerians would. Especially if the platform is owned by a Nigerian. But the government will need to do the right thing by shutting down platforms like moviebox and others. Yes we all love Free movies but ......
English

Will Nigerians pay 50 naira to watch movies online?
If we develop it, will you people use it instead of YouTube?
@bolazeal, you have your answer in the video below
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This is the man of the moment for many Nigerian employers ...
His name is Tosin Eniolorunda, founder of Moniepoint, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing companies.
Speaking at The Platform organized by Poju Oyemade, he said Nigerians are unemployable and justified it by saying his company has 500 vacancies it has struggled to fill.
So I checked Moniepoint Career page; there are about 83 open roles and the overwhelming majority are senior-level or highly specialized positions.
That is not the same thing as saying there are no employable Nigerians
It simply means there is a shortage of highly experienced talent in certain areas
This brings me back to what I shared earlier today
When Shell came to Nigeria, we had no drilling engineers or geologists that understood how to get oil out of the ground or petroleum engineers to process it to export standard
They took the pain to establish a training school that created a talent pipeline for several technical and non-technical roles
That investment produced the experts we now see across the oil and gas sector
Which is why we now have almost zero expatriates (foreign workers) left in the Nigerian Oil and Gas sector
That is how ecosystems are built...
Talents does not appear out of thin air
They are intentionally developed
This is why I keep saying many Nigerian employers have unrealistic expectations
Many want world-class output without making world-class investments in people.
If you need highly specialized talent, you have two options:
Train them or pay a premium to attract them.
What you cannot do is complain about a talent gap while refusing to participate in closing it
Nigeria is still a young country in tech ...our talent ecosystem is still maturing
You either play a part in the growth or continue whining

@sneekywhite @frankedoho @OgbeniDipo Traditional banks pay a lot for physical office all over the country. Some have over 5 branch in small state and even more in big states like Lagos. Also take into consideration the cost of running these offices, from man power to electricity with poor power. we can't compare
English

@frankedoho @OgbeniDipo For mid-level role?
And they pay almost 1.03M , omo them try
Most traditional bank don’t pay this
English

Here are the aforementioned documents sent to my DM for mid-level and upper level wages at Moniepoint. I haven't received the low-level wages but they said it's between 350 and 500 per month. They also claim to pay 25% higher than industry standards.

This is currently circulated as what Moniepoint offers for a Quality Assurance role. #1.9M per year. For granular context: This is $1,300 USD for the entire year. $115 per month. Then their CEO have the boldness to say, there's no global talent. Just Imagine.

@viktorbensonyt Even the top rated companies in America outsource jobs to India Pakistan and even Nigeria, it is not new. They look for cheap labour with longer working hours. On the job training is how companies upgrade their employees even abroad, instead of this demarketing.
English

That Moniepoint CEO is just saying the truth
To an average Nigerian, hookup and yahoo is more profitable than any skill
The next thing a Nigerian look into if they can’t do hookup and yahoo is forex, crypto and sport betting
The few people that learn digital skills have problems too
Many of them didn’t learnt very well, just an idea and that’s it
I have encountered graphic designers that I can use Canva to manipulate and create better designs
I have met bang average video editors, ads manager, poster calling themselves social media managers
Very few people learn a skill in Nigeria and learn it perfectly and to global standards
In Nigeria, many companies are still outsource jobs to people in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh
Another problem with Nigerians is pride. They are too big to work for certain amount of money
They prefer to be jobless than to work a 100k job

What if I tell u that the boxing match up was fixed to let EFE wins...
The organisers already know that majority will go for Portable to win since he is a street boy compared to Efe.
Portable na business man, after all he go cash out 40m from the fight win or not.
If money wasn't involved, do u think Portable will not cause drama on stage after Carter Efe was declared winner.
Jaredad.🐸®️@_Jaredad
The moment CARTER EFE was declared the winner 🥊

@mrlurvy The governor is not an experienced politician. He keeps making the same mistake again and again. Edo state governor came to meet an all pdp state Assembly, and in less than 3 months or so, majority are now in APC. The governor should calm down and negotiate with these men.
English

No matter how this Rivers State impeachment saga eventually ends, one thing is clear. The House of Assembly members are a different breed entirely.
They have been unusually resolute, stubborn, unshaken, and seemingly without a price. You cannot convince me that the Governor didn’t make overtures to them at some point.
This goes beyond funding or inducements. There is clearly a deeper score to settle with the Governor. For an entire House to remain this united and defiant for nearly three years? That is not normal politics.
I wish everyone all the best.

@ocboy007 @Edocentric_ Sorry to hear that bro. Hope you are doing okay now🙏🙏🙏
English

This isn’t a Nollywood movie or a Hollywood movie; this is the painful reality in Ekpoma, Edo State, where students are being attacked for studying.
This is the reason behind the massive protest. Students in AAU are no longer safe due to incessant attacks by individuals rumored to be northerners.
@PoliceNG should please provide a lasting solution to this insecurity in a student area like Ekpoma. The Edo State government should also step up and address this situation.
English

@deckdesmond @Edocentric_ Me way them come carry inside house de sleep. When this criminals mean you, they will come into your safe space
English

@Edocentric_ If I am living in an area with constant robbery attacks, I will never leave my house once it is 6pm. You have to find a way to protect yourself since the govt is incapable of protecting you.

@Mario9jaa Most of the electronics and home appliances you see in the Nigerian market are not the original brand product. From tv to home theater, while fridge/freezers and gas cookers are amongst the most fake and rebranded appliances in the market. It is crazy
English

If they can produce TVs, why can’t they just set up a company and sell their “Made In Nigeria” product proudly 🤔🤔??
Nigeria Stories@NigeriaStories
They are now doing fake TVs in Nigeria 🇳🇬 😳 be very vigilant
English

@OfficiaEdoOsasB Bro I will advise you stay off this matter. Both of them are not worth defending. To one, every Nigerian, African is unwise and unaware ,except for him who have drank from d "water of life" from dune. The other abuses and broke shame people here regularly. Don't get dragged in.
English

So a private £310 loan you gave Harry was actually a leash to silence him whenever he dared challenge your takes on imperialism and neocolonialism?
Exposing DMs and dragging his background just because he won't toe your line?
He is not the first person to pass through the desert and cross the Mediterranean Sea.
If the oil and other mineral resources you cry about (that the US supposedly wants to take) were being used by the Nigerian government to improve the lives of Nigerians, there would be no reason for anyone to take such risks.
You're mocking a survivor and a victim of circumstances.
All great men take loans, and I am dead sure that the Harry we know will definitely pay you back.
If he had been begging you for giveaways, this public ridicule you're attempting now might hold water.
English

@Samsonthegoat25 The dude has gotten the link to USAID sponsorship on gender affirmation shit

@Shadaya_Knight Accident happens everywhere . Diogo jota of Liverpool didn't crash in Africa, neither did Federico pisani of Atalanta or dale Earnhardt(Nascar), Ayrton Senna(formula 1 driver), kelvin kiptim, mike Hawthorn (formula 1). Accident can happen anywhere, especially when overspending .

@Ohmz___ @Osasdave4701 I believe that was just a lie to navigate the resistance from the people in the school who Initially confronted them. "I believe"
English

@Osasdave4701 I’ll believe it has nothing to do with the palace when the palace comes out to disown the miscreants who carried out the assault. They said on video that they were acting on the instructions of the palace. Even Don Pedro also said they told him the palace asked them to bring him.
