Rain is no issue for FSD and Teslas Robotaxis.
Spencer@scotsrule08

In the pouring rain, @robotaxi got on the highway. 🌧️ It handled the rain perfectly and other than getting on the highway due to a navigation bug the car has done phenomenally well! 🗺️

A promise is a promise. Many of us have paid several times on several Tesla vehicles for FSD that has never worked as promised. Tesla needs to make people whole. $Tsla apple.news/ArgJdT5WlTli76…

For $99/month, your Tesla becomes your own Robotaxi under your supervision
Whole Mars Catalog@wholemars

It hit me yesterday when I was going to pick up lunch. I pre-cooled the Tesla Model 3 from my phone, and set the destination to the restaurant. Then I hit start self-driving. Mad Max mode, park in the parking lot. The car drove so confidently, it's movements were so lifelike... I just couldn't believe it. The way it drives is... confident... comforting... better than anything I could have imagined. As it drove me to pick up my lunch order, I changed the music on my phone. I turned up the music and danced a little as I opened X and started reading and replying to peoples comments. It got to the restaurant before I even realized where we were, pulled into the parking lot, and parked perfectly. I picked up the food, put it in the frunk, and then got in the car. Tapped Home (Mad Max, Park in Driveway selected automatically) and then hit self-driving. The car drove me back home like a work of art. It didn't send the food flying around. It was just perfect. When it got home it parked in the driveway, right where the car was before I left, and I brought the food inside. It just hit me like damn, they really created a personally owned Robotaxi. This is the user experience I have been dreaming of for years, and now it's here. It's really working, and it's better than I imagined. The coming months and years will be a lot of fun as we just remove the driver out of the equation entirely.

@tesla_na They sold us the same dream too. Hardware 3 owners got a frustrating ADAS that cuts people off and misses exits constantly

But with SOOOO many sensors, how could this happen?

Bay Area, CA (minutes ago)- Trying to figure out the right hashtags for this one and we just don’t have it. Hate to add one this late in the game, but there’s no choice other than- #BatShitCrazy Not sure what sort of rule based metrics encourage the vehicle to drive out into cross traffic for a T-bone opportunity; luckily there was a police officer there to try to intervene and convince the Waymo to get out of the intersection. The video cuts off a bit early because the person filming obviously was concerned that the Waymo was going to back into them. If we can pick up some more information on this one, we will throw them into the comments. #SunsetProject #NeedIntelligence. #NeedInference #ManilaWeHaveAProblem #FullRetard

I really, really want to believe in this Optimus future @farzyness. I do. My entire net worth is in $TSLA and has been for almost a decade. However, until UNSUPERVISED Robotaxi actually starts to properly scale (and I know, exponentials are exceptionally hard to predict), I simply cannot believe in a @Tesla_Optimus future. Training Optimus is fundamentally similar to FSD. However, instead of a list of narrow/ridged list of rules, whose data can be gathered by paying customers, there is virtually unlimited variables with Optimus and ZERO manually operated paying customers. The problem-set for Optimus is 1000x harder than FSD. Yes, it doesn't operate in a safety critical domain like FSD, so it can iterate significantly faster, BUT it's being trained fundamentally the same as Robotaxi, and that hasn't been proven itself to be able to scale yet. If unsupervised @robotaxi does not fundamentally scale (soon), Optimus will fundamentally not scale. Period. Optimus isn't remotely nearing its vertical part of the exponential yet, it still needs ZILLIONS of training examples to draw from before it can start executing a limited set list of useful work in a controlled, manufacturing environment in a safe way (home environments likely won't happen until post-2030). Optimus to me is a science project. The moment unsupervised Robotaxi can scale to... lets say, double the size of Waymo (taking into account Waymos current massive scaling), then and only then will I be optimistic on Optimus.

@GrahamStephan Very smart move. Real Estate in the AI age feels like a terrible investment. When AI/Robots can help prospect/build way faster, much cheaper, and much higher quality, the price of building will collapse. This is GREAT for new buyers. TERRIBLE for investors.

BREAKING: Tesla is quietly updating FSD on HW3 cars. Many owners have taken note, claiming notable driving behavior differences on 2026.8.6.
green@greentheonly

@teslascope @JonBbC_TechGeek @drtheglide the underlying change in 2026.8.6 (from 2026.8.3 and prior) is significant in the code in particular (also there's merging so now weights are shared across all cars of the same hw type). The weights themselves changed some but I had no time to look into any of it in details

@comma_ai Best automated driver gives the user some control. Tesla FSD takes all the control away, and instead cuts off drivers with bad lane change decisions.
