Can someone explain this to me? If less than 1% of US oil consumption comes through the Hormuz straight, why did our prices jump by 30%? Also, if only 20% of the world's consumption comes through the Hormuz, why wouldn't we (world's largest oil producer) just increase our production by 20% ? Pretty sure we are nowhere near max capacity. I'll wait.
