@ryanongoing That’s not often considered in DOGSO situations because it’s usually (as here) the foul challenge that causes the heavy touch. Here, Bouanga was in on goal with no other defender in a position to make a play given the distance to goal. It’s pretty routine DOGSO.

This is the definition of not a clear and obvious error, so I think Crepeau’s red card rightly stood. Not interested in VAR being used to measure offside down to the eighth of an inch. On the whole, PTFC benefitted more than it suffered from referee errors on Saturday. #RCTID

@TaylorAP13 @RyanTClarke Ok sure, I don’t buy that but it’s also pretty clear from watching the games. Bingham isn’t glued to goal like Ivacic and is vocal with his teammates. Both big issues with Ivacic. Bingham isn’t a great keeper but he’s clearly the better choice to start right now.

Speaking only for myself I will say that stopping organized support in the stands hurts the players WAY more than it hurts MP. Those season ticket $ are in the bank whether we chant or not. But players would feel it every game.

Seeing the action put together by @Athletics fans tonight, and watching the continued inaction by @107ist and @timbersarmy made me realize that, heartbreakingly, this will be my last year as a dues paying @107ist member. I remain, #RCTID

@justsam97205 Well said but I need to remind you that thoughtful, nuanced takes are not allowed when it comes to tifo.

I also think Tifo is big work, and takes a lot of courage to throw ideas out there and execute it. I have zero to do with it and do not have the artistic ability nor time nor desire to do so, so props to those folks who take that on.

So I wanna acknowledge that I had pretty big feels about last night’s tifo. My default is to ask questions, and these data points helped me. I still think it may have been a bit of a misfire regardless of intent. There are so many queer writers who deserve the shine instead.
