@DylanRevisited ASOBD is easily one of my favorite albums. I’m surprised it’s not more popular these days. Hopefully it prevails!

Another Side of Bob Dylan is currently languishing in fourth place in Group A.
Will you help save it from facing elimination from the #BobDylanWorldCup?

@v4mpbaez Here are a few more pictures/HD pictures of that first blazer. It’s corduroy as well, and I’m about 95% sure she rewore it a few times. It’s beautiful!

@ReverendRunt I’ve always felt that blue looks amazing on her, especially that turquoise shade. It flatters her skintone so well. She looks so radiant!

@DavidAyer @rayfp I’m not dubious of them, I’m just surprised. I wasn’t really keeping up with his setlists last year, though I heard he brought back a lot of crowd favorites last summer. I’m happy he’s performing them, it’s just unfortunate I won’t be there to hear them

@_Useless_Tree_ I understand what you’re hinting at here, but I still disagree that this is what Joan wanted or was aiming at. The explanation is here in these interviews and in so many others where she discusses this film. She is a victim, yes, but that’s not all she is.
English

@_Useless_Tree_ Because she found this footage, unearthed these memories, and felt like it was time to reveal her truth and speak about her life in her own words with a new documentary. Because she can do that after so many years.
English

@_Useless_Tree_ Why did she do it? Simply because she felt like offering fans an insight on who she truly is as a person—not a myth, not a saint, but a person. This is something I note in this thread. She wanted to, yes, but that’s the reason for it and it is an answer.
English

@_Useless_Tree_ If your understanding of this film is “Joan wanting in on the victimhood trend” then you watched this with your eyes closed. There is no trend, she didn’t gain much from this documentary. Albert Baez is still very respected and people don’t acknowledge the documentary.
English

@_Useless_Tree_ ill of your parents in that period, especially in Mexican culture. You’re basically crucified if you do so, and he was a renowned physicist. She never wanted to affect his legacy and career. He even acknowledged their broken relationship towards the end.

@fujonimitchell It was so refreshing to see someone be so candid about their life, even in their later years, which is so rare. It’s a really honest documentary, I prefer it to the typical ones if I’m being honest!
English

@fujonimitchell Yes!! There’s simply no need for her to make another one that regurgitates the same information. That’s how we end up with musicians who have 500 identical documentaries. I was truly excited about this one when it was announced, having already watched the first -
English

@ReverendRunt I’ll take this as a recommendation, thank you!! I’ll try to watch it one of these days, it looks amazing. I love your username!

@silksofbohemia It’s this character in the film Barry Lyndon. You should see it, he such a character 😭
