So GOD'S Word is lying? That's not what the verse says. Your adding to Scripture, that's Dangerous! 📜"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2Peter1:20-21

A Few Problems with Joseph Smith's Book "As archaeology became more professionalized and reliable, it became clear that some of the plants, animals, and artifacts mentioned in passing were out of place in pre-Columbian America, including horses, cattle, asses, goats, swine, elephants, wheat, silk, iron, steel, brass, and chariots. More recently, DNA studies have failed to find connections between Native Americans and Near Eastern peoples, and no non-Mormon linguists have recognized any direct contact between New World and Old World languages. There are no authenticated reports of pre-Columbian New World sites that show any evidence of Old World influence in the form of pottery, tools, weapons, inscriptions, or agricultural products." - Grant Hardy

@KorribanSociety Even a dog barks when his master is attacked. Mormons attack the Word and nature of God, my master, and so I bark to glorify God. He will either use that to turn their hearts or as evidence against them on Judgment Day.

@uptimecontinuum @ryanswalters73 ... The "other sheep" are the Gentiles. 📜"For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in." Romans11:25

@ryanswalters73 ... Those are minor problems. This is the BIGGEST Problem... JESUS' Own Words Tear Apart 'The Book of Mormon' 👇🏼 x.com/i/status/20663…
Sharlae@TruthJourneySW

@jesse_k_fox It doesn't matter what warm fuzzy feelings you have... JESUS said HE DIDN'T visit America... JESUS told us the next time HE'D appear would be at HIS Second Coming. JESUS said NOT to believe ANYONE who says HE came after HIS Resurrection. Nephi LIED💥! JESUS' Words NOT mine 🤷🏼‍♀️👇🏼

@pricekris2005 @j_divis You bring up a good point, that Grace doesn't just save us but it changes us so we become "new creatures" and are better people with good inclinations. Let's just leave it at that. We got some differences but we have a lot in common too.🫡

@uptimecontinuum @j_divis that would be a misunderstanding of grace - Romans 6 grace changes a persons desires and will as we submit to Gods word, it’s called sanctification so, will we be perfect, no, but we want to be pleasing to our Savior, but our works in no way merit even part of our salvation

@pricekris2005 @j_divis So let me ask you: We agree we are saved by Grace. Fine. You say Grace alone? Does this mean we don't need to do anything? What about keeping the commandments? or good works. I can lie cheat and steal but thru the Grace of the Lord I am saved?

@pricekris2005 @j_divis "Not only did Joseph say he received new revelation, but he said he needed to RESTORE a new church because the faith of the apostles had died..Got it. Joseph Smith never said the faith of the apostles had died.

@pricekris2005 @j_divis Acts 2:38 Peter commands the people to repent and be baptized. Acts 2:41 about 3,000 people were baptized. Acts 9:18 Paul is baptized and many other examples of this ordinance are given in Acts.

@uptimecontinuum @j_divis any system requiring ordinances or human merit for justification departs from the apostolic gospel

@pricekris2005 @j_divis Where did Joseph Smith say he needed to create a new church because the faith of the apostles had died? Matthew 16:18 The word Rock is used for priesthood. ..the gates of hell shall not prevail against the priesthood. "Preserve" is not used btw.

@uptimecontinuum @j_divis not only did Joseph say he received new revelation, but he said he needed to create a new church because the faith of the apostles had died. didn’t Jesus say he would preserve his church and the gates of hell could not prevail against it?

@pricekris2005 @j_divis The Isaiah verses in the B of Mormon are more clear, there are no contradictions. John 1:1? What contradiction? Gal 1:8 Paul is saying if any man or angel preach any other gospel.. let him be accursed. Joseph Smith taught the same gospel of Christ Paul did

@uptimecontinuum @j_divis a little different? i’d say complete contradictions. how about John 1:1 …. Gal 1:8. mormons believe later extra-biblical revelation, from angels visiting Joseph Smith… 🤔

@RealDarylJames @hvworlton @Primary_Pianist I think the basic doctrine is the same but you're right, the Book of Mormon doesn't mention everything we practice in the church today. I don't think anyone said it did.

One of the stranger claims I see online is that “Mormons don’t know their own doctrine.” As someone who has spent decades in the Church, I find that accusation difficult to take seriously. 🧵

@abby_palmer1 @Other_Sheep_ This judgement at death is not the final judgement. And baptism is absolutely required for those who desire the highest heaven

@Other_Sheep_ When you die you are judged. There is no scriptural context for baptizing for the dead. And baptizim is not a requirement of salvation. You can accept Christ's gift of salvation not be baptized and still will be in heaven.

Why would Christ preach to those who are dead if they don’t have the opportunity to accept him after this life? And if they do, do they not need baptism? And if they do need baptism how do they get baptized after they died?

@hvworlton @Primary_Pianist The Book of Mormon does not include the distinction between salvation and exaltation, three degrees of glory, premortal existence, proxy work for the dead, temple marriage, or other basic components of the plan of salvation, as the doctrine currently exists in the church.

1/ It shoukd be offensive to ANY Christian, the @dojphofficial conceded by adding @LDSchurch to a list of “Christian” religions… Mormons may be good people but they are not Christian… Let’s explore why below 👇🧵

@uptimecontinuum @dojphofficial Yep, but it goes back to the central question which got all this debate going in the first place Is mormonism Christian? The answer to that is NO Joseph smith does not get to redefine God, Christ or the Church You feel strongly about your faith, great…it’s just not Christian
