Programming was deeply satisfying work to me. Work for hours/days before getting the payoff of the code working well on your machine. I’m feeling so much friction now to open the editor and do this kind of task by hand, but also increasingly depressed with the nature of work in an AI assisted dev workflow. Back and forth prompting seems to eat at my soul. Need to find a balance that brings back some of the toil.

@webdevcody you can simulate looping by simply queuing multiple times the word "continue"

without a ralph loop, is there a way to just make cursor loop all day doing a huge refactor without me having to say "continue"? At this point, this is such a high value use case that all IDEs and TUIs should support out of the box.

@webdevcody Fully custom. Script -> Elevenlabs (eleven_flash_v2_5 returns character level timestamps) -> group chars into word level timestamps -> show 5 words at a time in remotion, highlight the current word as it’s spoken. Lmk if you want access to the code (Claude wrote it all)

@webdevcody I'm not sure what I'm looking at here. You really don't need some SIMs minigame to make a pizzeria website. You can do it with a single prompt in CLI. Kanban is actually 10x more useful than whatever the fuck this is

@_ethangreen just opus 4.5, $100 / month, testing on, set to 1 concurrency, basically drip feeds features without hitting limit from what I've seen

@webdevcody Been trying this tool out for a few days and still new to claude/codex. Just on the pro plan and having usage limit issues. What plan are you on to allow it to run all night without running out of credit? Also just using default model and it seems to choose Opus 4.5 all the time

@ares1605 the rhetoric makes sense if you try spending a week building out a project using opus 4.5 and then see you've already passed 100k+ loc and have more features implemented than any one developer coding manually ever could.

we’re entering the era of 1-dev software teams. agile teams of 10+ devs collapse into 1 developer orchestrating 10 claude code terminals. each writing more code in 10 minutes than you wrote all week. 500k+ line systems built in a few months will become the norm. buckle up.

@webdevcody what if all 10+ devs are orchestrating 10 claude code terminals? the future teams would be lean but not this much lean ofcourse devs who are doing the work just for the sake of it, are not going to make it and will soon lag behind
